Trying for a Baby Part 9

Thanks so much Teaandcakeordeath and codemonkey. It really helps to know what to expect.
As expected, I'm cd 1 today so I think that's why I've been so teary. Doesn't really help to be buying baby clothes during full-on PMT!
However, my partner is being really good about it and is happy to go to the docs. He's surprisingly ok about doing a SA. I think he wants reassurance that all his bits are working! I'm resolved to ring the doc on Monday and get the ball rolling.
It's really helped to talk about it here actually. I'm a really private person irl but I'm now considering talking to my mum about it all. What are your thoughts about telling family/ friends? Does it help?0 -
Morning all, can you mark me as CD2 please, it's a hum dinger this time...really painful and heavy0

Hugs for cd2 without a paddle.0

It seems that all of my friends are having babies/pregnant at the moment and it's really starting to get me down. I'm heading out on my lunchbreak today to buy yet another baby gift for the newest arrival that I'll probably be seeing at some point this weekend. I've only discussed ttc with 1 of them because I feel that if they knew, they would be reluctant to talk about baby stuff with me to spare my feelings. They are my friends and what is happening to them is important to me. However, I'm constantly putting on a cheery face while I really feel like bursting into tears every time "baby stuff" is mentioned. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Sorry to unload here but I've been psyching myself up to go to Mothercare all day. Hope I don't start weeping in the middle of the store!
My best friend had her baby 3 weeks ago and after finding out I congratulated her then spent evening fighting back tears and being a cow moaning about unfair it was....even though I have known since she found out that she was pregnant!
She got pregnant on 2nd month of trying though and I am now on month 9 active trying and was NTNP for 1.5yrs before!
Got told today my cousin is 13 weeks pregnant but I am pleased for her as she lost twins at six months pregnant and has had other miscarriages so I cant be jealous!
5 days left of this cycle unless I get my BFP!
Had to go docs yesterday as my thrush/cystitis is actually a UTI.... So on antibiotics but told dr we are trying (my miscarriage is now on my notes I saw as well on his screen...) so he gave me baby friendly ones just incase! Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
It's horrible isn't it? It's like having 2 personalities: the outer one is all "yay babies" and the inner one just wants to cry. It's actually quite tiring putting on a face all the time.
On reflection though, I'd rather that than have them walking on eggshells around me in case I get upset. That would be horrible.
Hope the antibiotics kick in soon and you get a nice Sunday lie-in!0 -
Can I join back in everyone (and come off the graduates list)?
I had a miscarriage about 2 months ago. We found out at the 12 week scan. They were worried that it might be a molar pregnancy so I had a ERPC but fortunately everything was fine. It has been really hard coming back here after 2 miscarriages this year, but I realise that a few of you are in the same boat as me.
The only good thing that came out of the miscarriage was that it made me reassess things and realise how my poor relationship with my in-laws was affecting my relationship with my husband and I've made a big effort to improve things with them and now things are much better between my husband and me.
Everyone keeps telling me how fertile you are after a miscarriage and I really hoped I'd be pregnant again by now (we started trying straight away, didn't even wait for my first period) but I'm not, think I'm now CD4.
I've now been TTC for 18 months, have barely touched alcohol in that time, severely cut down on caffeine, have now cut down on sugary food and look after my teeth obsessively (apparently bad teeth can increase your miscarriage risk), taken so many prenatal vitamins I rattle and even meditate to reduce my stress, DTD frequently and use the CBFM... I don't think there is anything else I can do! Even though it has been a long time trying, I don't think it is time to go to see a doctor because I've been pregnant twice this year but I've not had enough miscarriages to count as them being recurrent. And I'm always convinced that 'this month' will be the one... This month we were on holiday when I ovulated and we DTD every night so I was really convinced I was pregnant.
I have had really heavy implantation bleeds which last as long as a period all 3 times I've been pregnant so, for me, even when I start bleeding, I'm still hoping that I'm really pregnant.
Thinking of you all, especially those who have recently had a miscarriage,
Love Ejecoms0
