I am so sorry to hear that Ejecoms. I am really thinking of you and your OH. It is so tough to have endured all that. I really hope that it is your time soon.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0

Quick question to those whose OH's have done "samples"
Did you return it to the GP's or did you have to take it to the hospital/lab?
I ask as we live in a rural area and I know you have to hand it in within a certain timeframe.. we are unlikely, without helicopter assistance, to be able to get to hospital to hand it in within that time frame! So can they take it at the GP's and then transport as the do bloods etc?
Confusing!Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -
My OH had to go & give his sample at the hospital. They need to analyse it pretty quick.0

Hi Ladies,
I'm a long time lurker, and I'd like to join the thread please.
A bit about me:
I'm 34 and am TTC#2. I had DS1 when I was 31 and at the time I conceived him my BMI was 29 so I was overweight/borderline obese.
Fast forward 3 years and myBMI is now 36  so I don't know if I'll be able to conceive without losing weight, and was planning on doing so, but having read statistics about fertility starting to rapidly descrease at 35 OH and I have decided not to wait any longer.
I don't even know when I'm due to ovulate. I've been on the mini-pill since having DS1, which has stopped me from ovulating / having AF and I've lost track of my old cycle. Being impatient I stopped taking the pill on 12th September and we started TTC#2 on 13th Sept. I'm not using OPK, so instead we are just DTD every other day and this will continue until we get a BFP- however long it takes. Luckily OH is very enthusuastic about TTC#2 so is more than happy to DTD on demand.
I'm planning on buying a stack of pregnancy tests from the pound shop, and will start testing once a week from about 3rd October if AF doesn't come before then. I've been having cramps for the last couple of days so I'm pretty sure AF is on it's way.0 -
Re samples - What ttc40 said - we had to turn it in at the lab first thing in the morning (time slot given) and has to be within 1-2 hrs of 'producing' it and kept warm in the meantime (body temp).
Aquamarine, you'll get the same tests (the bits that are inside the boxes) on Amazon/ebay/homehealth for many more at much cheaper price, so I wouldn't bother with the £ shop

Confusing!
Bigmomma we were in the same position as you. Sample had to be given at a hospital in a different town within a certain timeframe which would have been impossible for DH in rush hour traffic. There are rooms at the hospital so DH just did his there.
Just had a pregnant friend who managed to get pregnant on her first try whining about how rubbish it is being pregnant because she can't drink. I felt like slapping her so decided to order some lovely alcoholic drinks and enjoy them with great relish.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Mega confused here today. I started using a cbfm this month. I normally ovulate between day 14 and 18 so was very surprised to go from low on the monitor yesterday straight to peak today. I did an opk this morning to confirm and it was the strongest I have ever seen. Weird indeed!0
