If you can think it........it will happen
  • Clever (sorry for shortening your name- feel free to call me tcd!) I have told quite a few people now as I was driving myself to distraction. My Mum knows and it took a long time for her to understand what I was going through. Her initial response was the dreaded 'relax' as the no nonsense nurse in her took over. It wasn't until I snapped and had a massive row with her about how it felt that she grasped the impact it was having on us. She's still occasionally insensitive (She knows she'll be a Nan soon as I will get pregnant- not bloody likely by ourselves and though I know IVF is the only way I hate the idea.) but it's far better for me that she knows than doesn't. I suppose it's how you think your mum will support you and if she'll give you the support you need. It's taken me a will to drill into my mum what I need and we're still not totally there! I have a three friends who know. One who has her own ttc troubles, one who 'wouldn't be bothered if she was in my position' (nearly walloped her and no longer talk about it with her) and another who isn't looking to have kids but lets me rant and then gets me drunk. A couple of managers in work know as I've been off with depression relating to infertility and other stuff.

Basically if you can get the support you need then share. :)

Mrs TM - I try not having any naughty food items around, but now OH doesn't work away this doesn't work out as he is super skinny and can get away with eating junk. I would just not replace any junk food once it has gone and only buy it when you want it

Code - glad you had a good holiday

Hugs withoutapaddle and tinks for AF arriving

Disneypluto and Catloverbex - hope you are both having great holidays, grand canyon is amazing!

ejecoms - sorry to see you back, hope your stay is short and you get a sticky bean

    Welcome aquamarine

Hope you are enjoying your holiday Picklekin

Nothing much to report for me, finally BD today having not done it all week when we should have, guessing CD26 is going to be too late for a 34-36 day cycle
  • Hi all

Sorry for the silence, I'm also on holiday (in Italy) and having a lovely time but the internet access at our apartment is very dodgy so I've been able to read but not reply to anything, very frustrating!

AF was due yesterday and I've been cramping for a few days but no sign of any spotting yet. I stopped bothering to temp after FF gave me crosshairs but it might well have been a bit premature, so who knows where in my cycle I actually am. We'll be home on Tuesday so I might test then if AF hasn't made an appearance by then but judging from the cramps she isn't far away.

Can't believe our week here is over tomorrow night :(

Angel - hope you are having a lovely time, Italy is a lovely place to visit

So if you read my message above I though CD26 would be too late for ovulation....just used a cheapie internet one and have the most positive I have ever seen on one!!! This has never happened to me before - do I now BD the next few days? Am thinking will make my OH do it again later and then tomorrow- is that enough?
  • A quick check in from me in very sunny Portugal but CD1 here- totally gutted and burst into tears around the pool on Friday because of all the families with young children having a wonderful time - clearly AF was on her way :0)
As I know she's def arrived, I may have to indulge more in the all inclusive drink this evening.

Off to a water park tomorrow - hubby has never been to one before so it's going to be a fun day:0)

Back to the UK on Thursday - catch up soon and massive congrats to the BFPs in the last week
    Much love

Can I join back in everyone (and come off the graduates list)?

I had a miscarriage about 2 months ago. We found out at the 12 week scan. They were worried that it might be a molar pregnancy so I had a ERPC but fortunately everything was fine. It has been really hard coming back here after 2 miscarriages this year, but I realise that a few of you are in the same boat as me.

The only good thing that came out of the miscarriage was that it made me reassess things and realise how my poor relationship with my in-laws was affecting my relationship with my husband and I've made a big effort to improve things with them and now things are much better between my husband and me.

Everyone keeps telling me how fertile you are after a miscarriage and I really hoped I'd be pregnant again by now (we started trying straight away, didn't even wait for my first period) but I'm not, think I'm now CD4.

I've now been TTC for 18 months, have barely touched alcohol in that time, severely cut down on caffeine, have now cut down on sugary food and look after my teeth obsessively (apparently bad teeth can increase your miscarriage risk), taken so many prenatal vitamins I rattle and even meditate to reduce my stress, DTD frequently and use the CBFM... I don't think there is anything else I can do! Even though it has been a long time trying, I don't think it is time to go to see a doctor because I've been pregnant twice this year but I've not had enough miscarriages to count as them being recurrent. And I'm always convinced that 'this month' will be the one... This month we were on holiday when I ovulated and we DTD every night so I was really convinced I was pregnant.

I have had really heavy implantation bleeds which last as long as a period all 3 times I've been pregnant so, for me, even when I start bleeding, I'm still hoping that I'm really pregnant.

Thinking of you all, especially those who have recently had a miscarriage,

    Love Ejecoms

Sorry to hear your sad journey so far xxxx same happened to me and I hoped we would fall straight away too but no :-(

Lets hope everyone on this thread gets their forever babies very soon xxxxx
