  • Good evening :D

DH has been very busy today :T He stripped & washed our bed & DS's, remade the beds, walked the dog, vac'd upstairs, tidied DS's BR, got rid of various boxes into recycling, dusted our BR, HHI & emptied the DW. We both packaged up some ebay parcels & posted them. I had trouble printing the postage via ebay so had to pay at the PO  Has anyone else had a problem with this today? Or is it just me? Or maybe it was because they were going overseas? Anyway, they are gone now :)

I cooked a roast dinner for the kiddies (which they didn't eat ) and for us. They are having hotdogs tomorrow, as I have had enough of throwing away good food  (the dog didn't mind helping out with leftovers though) I have also set the DW on a clean cycle.

I don't seem to be able to get my paperwork done :( I really must get myself organised! DH has sent off letters to creditors, to keep them in the loop. I am waiting for a form before I can finish our claim for WTC (although we won't get anything before April)

Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that want them - esp Bossy, LW, Skint/Skintbaby & last but not least, L-L

    Hello!
I removed marks in the kitchen. Still got bathroom to do.
More I do, more jobs I notice that need to be done. Does anybody else feels the same?

Can I just ask are any of you finding the lists too long winded when I put them up? Would you prefer shorter ones, or are they okay. I do hope you aren’t all feeling that you should do everything on the lists though.

I'm happy with the lists - thank you for doing them :A I like the way they're in levels, so it's clear that you needn't do every task if you don;t have time or CBA ;)

Off to see what's on today's list :T

  • morning

I have had a tiny bit of sleep, Skint Baby Holly is in her moses basket, so thought I can finally type two handed and update my on & off list flying

Dug through my emails for my car insurance policy, rang insurers and got them to check if I am covered to drive yet. And good news is I am covered so I might attempt to take the car out for a short hop at the weekend and put a folded towel across the scar where the seat belt will go to see if it will be more comfortable, otherwise I will have to pull DS out of nursery or do the train instead.

Replied to email from my Aunt in America (she is over to visit in May til July and will be coming to visit) she is the original OCD housework queen and I must be completely out of CHAOS by the time she arrives  I don't think the excuse of "you will have to take us as you find us as we are decorating" can be wheeled out again this year :o:o

HV came and weight Skint Baby, her tongue tie op coupled with the all night Milk Bender last night obviously paid off as she had put on 8oz in just 5 days, so she is just under birth weight now. HV said I "looked tired" (understatement of the year :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) so she would come again on Friday to weigh and complete the rest of the new birth paperwork then :)

Sorted the last remaining living room paperwork bar 3 items that need proper attention, feedback forms and credit card stuff :o

DW on again, good S&S round kitchen, kitchen doors & drawer wiped inside and out, cutlery trays emptied, washed and replaced, one can opener junked (only one working one left in house now:eek:, time to put a replacement on the shopping list) microwave cleaned inside and out, kettle wiped over (but not descaled today as I am low on cheap vinegar) toaster de-crumbed and wiped over, food composting bin emptied and cleaned.

Made a LR picnic on a blanket for DS to cheer him up, as he has spent 3 weeks without being snuggled up next to me in my bed.

Made a print off of his favourite alphabet jigsaw from the scanner and cut it out to spell his name with a view to laminating it (so he can trace over his name with a white board marker) but DS was very impressed and wouldn't let me have it back :D

My last remaining light in my ensuite gave out, but it is a fiddly one to change as it has a fly graveyard (yes i have shamelessly stolen this phrase:eek::p:eek::p) glass bowl shade on it that has to be removed by climbing on a step ladder and taking out umpteen little tiny screws.

Fortunately the EX has changed both the light over the mirror (which I could not removed from the holder without fear of breaking the bulb or the fitting) which blew a good 2 and half years ago AND the main fly graveyard one - unfortunately in harsh bright light the ensuite does not look as clean as I thought, so I will have to give it some real elbow grease in there next time bathrooms come round.

DD3 hoovered upstairs and down after carpenter left today - new doors fit lovely and lockable too. Being able to actually shut a door on DD1 room has made it comfortably warm in here for Skint Baby and me without having too many layers of clothing on.

DS wanted a floor bed made up for him in DD1 room with me, but spent about an hour in it before sneaking in DD1 single bed with me, had a lovely cuddle but not enough room to fed Skint Baby in there as well, so have been sitting on the floor most of the night with her instead. DS has been sleepwalked back to my room and the EX is back on DS duty til sensible o'clock.

The DR is being attacked by the EX today - I think having loft insulation poking out of the (missing) plasterboard wall by the stack pipe for over 4 years is long enough (I am beginning to think the HV must have said something about all the dangerous DIY jobs half finished around the house). I will be nice to stop having to build barricades around dangerous things and it will make the house look tidier even though I have cleaned what I can around it.

With just DS to chase away from the danger zones was one thing, but once Skint Baby becomes mobile keeping 2 littlies away is going to be even harder, so if this DIY frog gets chewed I will be well chuffed.

    Jobs for today:

Keep Daisy the Cow mode in full operation
ring Dr to get certificate for ESA before they mess up my money again and MH medication review, book 6 week postnatal check, book 6 week blood sugar test, book baby jabs, speak to Dr about timescales for getting DD1 implant replaced and if it can wait until the summer break (she doesn't want to change Dr's yet)

Scan some of Dad's post and email to my sister for the Estate, draft some letters to start sending cheques off to settle the estate WHEN I can manage the drive down to see her.

keep WM and TD on the go as best as I can:)

Right, now I feel sleepy going to get a quick 40 winks in before getting everyone up and out for school, college and nursery

Catch up with you all later
The cold never bothered me anyway
