Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Thank you Dusty for last weeks thread

There are 3 levels per day with Level 1 being very basic, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. Feel free to mix and match to suit your own personal circumstances.

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

I'm in too this week. I don't have a study area so will concentrate on the bathrooms.

I don't know your poorly friend flylady's but she's in my thoughts right now. So sorry to read that all is not well.

Thanks for the new thread, natty. I've have a candle going all day, with thoughts for L-L. And all flyladies past, present and future. These are tough times sure enough, and my thoughts also go with her family and friends.

I've had 2x hhc after I got the kiddies away to bed. They have been good company today, lots of fun, if they did get rather rowdy and carried away at tea time. And they helped clear the toys away, so my hhc (clearing rather than cleaning) was much easier.

Wondering if DD is coming down with something. She seems fine but won't eat. She wanted Rice Krispies this morning, and when I asked if she'd eaten them she said yes, but on checking it didn't look like she'd touched them. Persuaded her to eat some. Then she wouldn't eat her lunch, so I bunged her plate in the fridge and tried again at tea. She had a few forkfuls of mash, and a tiny Yorkshire pud. It's not like she's been snacking (not allowed if you don't eat your meal when I know you like it!) although she was nibbling gingerbread dough when we made biccies earlier.

Anyway. Enough of little moos eating habits.

We have painted a few different coloured squares on DS wall, and had a little chat. Lol. He's just 4 a week ago, but knows what he wants. So we've negotiated and we have a plan. I've removed a shelf from his cupboard, and my dad cut the new hanger rail to size for me. So that is ready to go in, will give him more room for his clothes as he is getting longer...

This week my extras might be DIY related:
Go round DS room with filler for any bumps and cracks.
[STRIKE]Fasten the fixings for the rail and take out the casing.
    Find his hanging sweater organiser.[/STRIKE]
Natter stepdad into seeing when he can fix our skirting.
Decide when I will start painting.
Tighten up the basket units. They are getting wobbly!

Apologies for the long post, I'm thinking "out loud"

Special thoughts and prayers for LL, for peace and no pain.

Thanks for the new thread, Natty.

We've had a good weekend away in York. It was fun meeting up with you CY - do you realise we talked almost non-stop for 3 hours? :D I hope your DD2 is feeling better this evening, and that you all get a good night's sleep tonight.

DH enjoyed the wargames convention and has brought home a carrier bag full of more figures and planes to paint. I thought we were decluttering, not adding more

The table I sold on eB@y has been collected this evening and I've wrapped another parcel to post, but I still have dozens of other things to list or - failing that – to take to CS. Must get on with that this week so that I can finally clear the DR = RoD and shed/yard = another RoD while the sun shines (so says the forecast).

I'm running a course tomorrow and DH has a hospital day on Wednesday, so I expect I'll be flying mainly from my own lists this week. OJM is coming on Tuesday, and I must also do a couple of bitty jobs and some furniture moving before he starts work. Looks like I'm going to be very busy.

Perhaps I'll even get my bedroom curtains made too... long overdue... *hangs head in shame* :o
