Thinking of LadyLiberty today. Big hugs for Wendywitch - I feel for you on this one, it's how I got caught for Skint Baby Holly - but FB is the worst way to find out
Thank you for list natty, I am in, albeit very slowly today ( managed to pull my scar in my sleep somehow, and I may have to crack out the painkillers)
The EX decided not to go back to fix "current interests" wing mirror, and told her to put it through the insurance instead. Win, win for me, as he decided to get on with some frogs that I would not have been able to attend to for quite some time.
The carpenter came this morning at 8 as planned to put a door on DD1 room (I have had a stairgate across the opening to stop DS wandering in and picking the baby up out of her Moses basket).
He was embarrassed when the carpenter called by to quote last week and asked how long I had had the house with all the half finished jobs, rough cut carpet, missing doors etc, so thought it best to make an attempt on some jobs before carpenter called today.
I must admit, I had gotten myself in a bit of a state last night at the thought of having "stranger" in the house (as I always do) which then completed its cycle with an emergency de-clutter of the digestive system
The EX has:
taken a spade to the remaining parquet wood floor tiles in the study that didn't come up in the indoor floods last year, which unveiled the most ungodly smell which periodically stinks out the house :eek::eek: (entering smug mode, the EX has previously blamed it on DS or me not cleaning properly when he has come to visit the kids, and I knew it was the floor all along) and washed all the skirting boards in the study.
put a door I painted last summer on the electric cupboard to keep all light bulbs and things safely tucked away.
cut the hallway door that was brought from our old house 6 years ago:eek::eek::eek: in half to fit the cupboard under the stairs where all my cleaning trugs and hoover are.
Put wood filler in all the holes and cracks on door frames, skirting and stair case - ready to sand today
Pushed a trolley at Mr T's yesterday, so I could get some food in without resorting to an online shop.
Got more wooden doors for carpenter to hang today.
So today's flying will wait til tonight to clear up all the sawdust, as allegedly every bathroom door is being changed and fitted with a proper lock, as well as DD1.
Had a quick HH tidy before carpenter arrived, then have been on Daisy the Cow duty ever since (or so it seems!)
Sent of child benefit form, and completed form for Council Tax to go out later.
I will check in later and see what I can cross off the list properly.
Hugs, sticks, spoons to those who need them, in the jar, please help yourselves:DThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Bathroom and shower room all cleaned from top to toe
I have:
a huge pile of ironing to do
a 'keep on top of' tidy of the bedrooms
a wash to take out and sort
a wash to put in
sort and put away the underwear pile
email council re: recycling
Feels good to be organised doesn't it0 -

Thanks for the list Natty and Dusty for last week. I'm in for Level 1 again.
Good to hear from you Skint. I had the same problem with a yacht skipper once telling me I obviously wasn't cleaning the heads in a en-suite cabin properly, so I should start using bleach. (I don't 'do' bleach.) So I did in that area, the smell got worse, he told me I still wasn't doing it properly. When the yacht went into drydock months later - rot was discovered. Why do they always assume a problem is your responsibility and not theirs?
Lamewolf In answer to your question yesterday - neither, at the time. She is allowed her food for 20 minutes and it then goes in the fridge for later. It seems to work best for her. She finally ate the sardine variant somewhere between midnight and 5.30 am, but she nixed the dogfood completely. She's a lot better this morning, and has already had three walks, all her medicine and a large breakfast, so things are improving.
((Hugs)) to all those who have concerns for someone who is dear to them.Better is good enough.0 -

I got quite a lot done! Very focussed today, probably due to the lovely sunshine as that always makes me feel more energised :j
Dailies are done and list is looking good too...
