I did really well up until I noticed the electric van going up the lane opposite and remembering that they were knocking off the leccy between 10 and 3, so quickly filled the kettle and made flasks of water and swished recycle bins and kitchen bin with bleach. It was then a day of looking at my lists and doing non-electrical jobs - by 'eck, there were tonnes!!!!!!! Felt pretty pleased with myself by 3pm tho
Narc0lepsy wrote: »It must be a bad time of year for them. I bought 3 "cheap" from a re-filling place, a company that I've used before with no trouble. The first one spat at me when I took it out of its bag then refused to spit anything on the paper. Then printed selectively, with an error message flashing at me all the time. Tried re-aligning everything, restarting etc and finally gave up. Got 2nd one out of its bag, spit spit. Ditto. Eventually gave up and put all 3 on Freecycle, had takers for them in minutes even having described them as may or may not work. Went out and bought a proper Canon one which worked perfectly first time.
I bought some "copy" ones from Mr A**a the other week and my printer hated them - kept telling me they were empty when I could clearly hear the liquid sploshing when I shook them, so I rang their Inkline number and was told to take them back for a refund (even though the lad in the store said I couldn't because I'd opened them). Anyway, I got a full refund and purchased proper Epsom ones and it now works properly. My boss says that some printers have a chip in them which can detect "real" ones; don't know if that's true, but lesson learned.
Bossy - I think you do an amazing job everyday and I'm pleased to read that today has been manageable for you all. You have wonderful support from your in-laws and I wish you all a pleasant evening. Light a candle and raise a glass to your beloved OH xx
LameWolf - hope your paws are feeling better this evening - take it easy hun xx
Hugs to all those who need one.
Not too busy at work today, so I have a bit of energy to do other things this evening - where's that list ....... ?
