Skint, how on earth do you have the energy you seem to have? Make sure you rest when Holly sleeps and don't think that's a good chance to get yet more done. I know you say your aunt is OCD housework sort of person, but as Pigpen says, she's there to see you not the state of your home. Great news that Holly's weight is picking up :T
Hope he recovers quickly; a sprain is better than a break. Can he put some strapping on it or something? Skiing in the USA - now that sounds great!Has a poorly ds1 today. Had an evening at a&e yesterday. Good news his wrist is badly sprained not broken. It is only 10 sleeps until he is supposed to be going to USA skiing with school. So fast healing vibes requested please.
My finger is not better but I can now drive at least.
Wm is on. Off to look at my long list.
Well done and I'll join in too in no moan day. Can I just say it's fantastic that you have such a positive outlookMorning All!
Wondering if anyone wants to join me today in an extra task as inspired by Piggers (I think?):
National NoMoan Day!
I today am not going to moan about already having been in the office for over an hour (because it means I can finish early and pop to the shops)
I also will not moan about FIL leaving things soaking in the sink, as he very helpfully washed most up (despite me saying bung it in DW)
I will not moan about having to bring my pack up as it is saving me money and helping me lose some more weight.
I will not moan about the person I no longer have as I had him for 6 years and a very good six years at that. Better to have loved and lost, than not loved at all, yes? My mum reminds me we had more love in those 6 years than some people have in a 20 year marriage.
I especially won't moan about DD creating a fuss at bedtime and eventually sneaking in with me at 2am, as it won't be long before she's too cool for cuddles!
Back to the paid stuff and hugs for you all, helped me survive another day (again :T)
. As for DD being too cool for cuddles - that won't ever happen. I'm 46 and still love having a cuddle with my Mum and am sure I'm not the only one
Betsie2010 I struggle too with the winter lack of light but can I recommend a SAD lamp - I've got mine on now as I'm sat here. Just 15 mins a day and it's really helping when everything is so grey and there's no real sunlight.
Just dropped DS off at school and they told me he was in tears yesterday. The TA took him and a group of others to the hall to do numeracy, they all had their heads down and she heard a sob and it was my little man:(. I think he doesn't like it if he doesn't understand something and won't ask for help even though I've told him to always ask and the TA is really lovely. They'll keep an eye on him; of late he hasn't wanted to go to school and is always saying he's tired. Horrible isn't it.

Morning all,
Wow everyone has been so busy already today
Here's my list for today and I still need to clear out cupboard under the sink from yesterdays list; this cupboard is definitely a big frog for me  and I'm convinced it'll take hours to do... Any guesses for just how long it would really take if I just get on and do it?...

Back from shops
Going to quickly mop the floors then walk around to a friends for a cuppa and a natter.
My 3 boys all still cuddle everyday at 18,16 and 11 and I'm not a tactile person with anybody else (apart from DH). I feel it an invasion of my space for somebody to even be breathing near me.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Everyone fed and watered.. 2 littlies on their 2nd breakfast.. little fatties!
WM with the bedding in.. OH's pillow cover looked like it had been used to mop the floor and the littlies spread chocolate on the duvet yesterday. 1 of the 3 throws in too.
Middle room vacuumed so it looks almost presentable again
I have awful backache (kidneys playing up again) and tummy ache (just wind I think lol) today so I might not get much done.
2 carriers of recycling and 1 of rubbish binned.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Can I just ask are any of you finding the lists too long winded when I put them up? Would you prefer shorter ones, or are they okay. I do hope you aren’t all feeling that you should do everything on the lists though.
Hi Natty,
I like the lists thanks; I like the touches of humour and there is always something on there that I realise I haven't done for ages
I like the levels too; great for busy days/weeks to keep up with the basics
I followed Flylady online for nearly a year before finding this thread and got most of the serious decluttering and daily routines sorted out and that for me is the key to having a clean, tidy house without endless work. Before flying I used to want the whole house clean and tidy all at once and would spend hours achieving this only to be back in total chaos within a day or two; Flying has put a stop to that crazy way of living :j
The best things about flying:- Each area of the house comes round each week and so all the tasks on the list get done over a period of weeks and months; it doesn't all need to be done NOW!
- The more you fly the quicker each task is achieved :T
- Daily routines work; DW, WM, S&S, Meal Plan etc are automatic for me now

- Just do it! If it only takes a minute or two, I just do it and then feel so much better

- I plan and budget for meals, fun days, errands etc and have saved money by not wasting food or having to go for an expensive top up shop. I use less fuel because shopping and errands mostly done in same journey, no overdue library book fines etc and I source cheap entry deals and restaurant vouchers ahead of time...
- I love the call for HHC/I/E and often feel inspired to join in even if it's hours after the call was posted

- Frogs! I always need more than a nudge to deal with those... I'm off to clear the cupboard under the sink  HHFrogChallenge anyone?

[/LIST]Back later x
I'm with you , Cake.
I have just spent half an hour cutting my curtain material into the right lengths - I only bought it 3 years ago
- and now I'm going to start sewing.
I honestly didn't think my desk top was dirty until I cleared everything off it to sew, walked out of the room and back again and saw the sun shining on the cup marks :rotfl:
It is now pristine

Ok, so cupboard under sink only took me 20 mins... and I got rid of those almost empty bottles of cleaning products that have been replaced by a few, multi purpose and less toxic products (bicarb, vinegar and ecover products) so much more space in there now too

Off to do a few more things on the list; back later x0 -

I know what you mean here ionafan; I always like to make my own curtains but it does take me ages to actually get on and do it... and it never takes very long once I start. I hope you get them done and hung and that you are pleased with the result
Achieved quite a bit this morning so pleased with that
- HHE (x2) Went for an hour long walk across fields and along the river with a friend first thing as DH did school cycle with DD2
- Dailies done
- Frog eaten :T
- Completed a few things off the list for this week as well

Back later to read and catch up; positive vibes, best wishes and good luck to all that need. Take care of yourself first flyladies, the rest will follow x0
