Amara Definitely. The way I think about it now is that I used to see everything that needed doing and was completely overwhelmed by it, now I'm just irritated by seeing one thing here, one thing there - and I can live with that because that's real progress. Unfortuantely for me, OH now sees things, which he never, ever did before. Yes, I will dust that shelf, yes I will get the feathery thing and out and flick at that delicate, fragile, very easily breakable light-fitting. There is a reason I'm totally 100% responsible for the house looking and being clean, and it is nothing to do with chauvinism. (I'm also not above shoving a duster in his hand and saying 'You've got more time than me right now - you do it if it's bothering you' which kind of goes against the agreement.)

Cuddles and hugs were not part of my childhood. OH wilts and withers without them, so they are very much part of my adulthood - hurrah!

Today I will not whinge about my broken tooth that has also decluttered a large enough chunk of filling for me to ensnare. I will not whinge about Dog deciding that along with chicken, sardines now hold no attraction for her. I will especially not whinge about having to fork out £4 for two salmon fillets to get her to eat for the first time in 24 hours.

I have pushed the Dy$on about a bit and bits of the floor look almost presentable.
    Better is good enough.

Lame Wolf, nice to see you back for a little bit - Mary-Fairy-Fuzzy-Butt is a funny name! Sorry about the wee problem but at least you'll be prepared with all the papers won't you. Let's hope she doesn't do what Pip did today - roll in a very alluring (so she says) pile of fox poo and then with running through the mud/cow poo/slurry type mess all in the fields she was disgusting. I'm not joking when I say I was almost heaving when I gave her a shower afterwards. Sure you don't want her for a while?!!
Lol it's what I call her - she's actually Mary, named because she was originally a stray, who turned up at Xmas, and despite extensive inquiries, they couldn't find her owners, so they offered her a home with them. I'm notorious for giving my guests nicknames.:D Thankfully she's too old for fox-poo rolling. *imagine nose-holding Smilie, please*:rotfl:
Plus, as the dogs are not mine, they only get let off the lead if they're safely contained in the back garden.;) Regrettably, I'm not quite up to bathing dogs just now, as I need Mr LW to lift them in and out of the bath.:D

On which note, splints off, and loo-scrubbing for me now.... I may be some time.....
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Umpteen HHFrogChallenges later, the curtains are done apart from turning up the hems. However, this will be a *long* job in both senses of the word, as each curtain is 2x 48" panels and it will therefore take me some time to hem them by hand - not my favourite job :( But then they'll be done :)

Reminder to self: when we move, if we need new curtains, get them made-to-measure. I have back-ache from lugging these around. It would have been far worse if I had lined them, but I didn't, so I'm not moaning ;)

DH was signed in to cardiology well before 8.00 and rang me at 1.45 to come and fetch him. He is fine, but unfortunately the procedure did not work, so he has more new medication to add to his home pharmacy  and is already on the list for another try in approximately 3 months' time.

(((Hugs))) to all who need them

Bossy you could post a question on the techie forum, I've always had loads of good advice there.

    DS1 away to his interview

DS3 not home from school yet as has been to an athletics event.
