  • Who or what is Curly P???

Sorry :o Like LW, I give my little visitors nicknames. Curly P is a sweet little 2yo that I look after on a Wednesday (she has curly hair :)) but she was poorly today so I had a few free hours this afternoon. Miss T & Little Miss Sunshine are another 2 that I look after :)

Kiddies have all gone home now :j Miss T was allowed to use felt tips and she managed to keep them to the paper :T We made raisin & banana flapjacks, so I have hoovered the LR (they were very crumbly!!)

Dinner has been cooked & eaten, and the washing up has been done. I may do some more paperwork while the football is on.

Made good progress on my list:
Monday Madness - Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Clear any clutter from desk
    Level Three
Empty and clean out all the upstairs bins! (the proper bins not the rooms that look like bins!)

Tuesday ~ Kitchen and Dining Mess
    Level Two
Clear out a cupboard.. The one with baking supplies or the one with pans and plastic boxes.. GO!! Or you could, if you have one, clear the pantry!
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!

Weird Wednesday - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –

    • HHI.. another mound gone!

Once DS is in bed may get the ironing board out and do a little bit - really try to keep on top of it.

Feeling really tired; must make sure me and my friend don't chat too late - it's normally easily 11 by the time we catch up!!
    Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting
  • Dusty - have you heard from DS on how his interview has gone? My DS should be on his way back to Kings Cross to get his train home. No word from him, though ........

Good luck to both lads. Which unis are they interviewing at? My DS is at Imperial.

Ah, thank you. I've seen you writing about Miss T and Little Miss Sunshine but not Curly P. For some reason I imagined a little boy.

    Today I have:
Blood tests done (just a little pr*ck) - always makes me laugh but I'm childish like that
'Other' test result - negative (phew)
Handed back work keys BIG FROG
Bought my Mothers Day and Birthday presents for myself from DD (2 stacking silver rings)
Bought a dress for £14 (originally £90) and a purse for £3 (originally £12) from Monsoon :money:
Got a couple of other bargains in various charity shops
Booked my long-overdue hair colour & cut for Friday - I will dazzle my date on Sunday lol

Ah. Not much flying. :o Oh, I cooked a chilli - two actually, one meat & one veggie, unloaded and loaded the dishwasher and did two loads of washing.

Love, hugs, sticks, spoons and motivational kicks as required/needed xx

Bossy you could post a question on the techie forum, I've always had loads of good advice there.

Yes, I did. I've tried the suggestions, to no avail :(

Does it count if it wasn't me who did the ironing;)
Tomorrow I've some paperwork to catch up on, dentist, docs, kiddies away then to friends for tea. Can't remember the last time I went anywhere on my own :o
I'll also have a tidy in the coat cupboard, it's getting unruly again, and seems to be full of plastic bags. How? I use reusables?

  • Got a couple of jobs done before I left for work this morning - bed stripped, WM on, TD on, windows wiped in our room, DD room and Bathroom.

Since I finished work at 3pm it's been all go until now when I've just sat down!!

Collected DD from school, BM on for dough, Veg Tagine and Cous cous for tea - nom nom nom - decluttered DD to Brownies and passed an hour at the auction viewing room and A*di, collected DD from Brownies, put shopping away, made 2 loaves and I am now doing beggar all - my head is willing, but my body isn't listening and I know if I start stuff now, I'll get a second wind and then won't sleep later on, so I think I'll just listen to my body and chill. AF has arrived today too which explains my frustrated tears with OH yesterday.

Hope everyone is keeping well and interviews bring good news.

Umpteen HHFrogChallenges later, the curtains are done apart from turning up the hems. However, this will be a *long* job in both senses of the word, as each curtain is 2x 48" panels and it will therefore take me some time to hem them by hand - not my favourite job :( But then they'll be done :)

Reminder to self: when we move, if we need new curtains, get them made-to-measure. I have back-ache from lugging these around. It would have been far worse if I had lined them, but I didn't, so I'm not moaning ;)

It is a big job to hem by hand though and it's surprising how heavy fabric can be! I'm sure the curtains will look great once finished though :T

    Evening all

had a special day off (benefit of being a job sahre) and went to Manchester with DS; he has an offer there; he is now most taken with the uni.

I am most taken with the fact that the Campus he will be 'on', should he go is on Oxford Road, where there is a train station. Which, by cunning means, is where we got off, and later back on, the train. It only cost us £6 to go (each) but £10 to come back :rotfl:

Flying - emptied WM into TD emptied TD and folded like a ninja - so nothing to iron (cheers loudly)
    emptied DW

Took knitting with me on train - lots of rows knitted
    5 e bay sales

  • Evening all :)

I've had a catch up read of the thread for this afternoon and evening and it seems to have been somewhat emotional on here today; I hope all are feeling better this evening :grouphug: for all in need.

Pleased to have had a productive day in both flying and studies :j I now need to repeat the process each day to keep the house in order and really make progress with the paper I'm writing.

    Errand day for me tomorrow;
    • grocery shopping
    • return/post unwanted goods
    • library returns and collect reserved
    • post birthday card
Off to get ready for bed now; got a new book to read for enjoyment and not for studies :D
    Night all x
