Will you have me back? Please?
I haven't been here for ages and ages and it is starting to show around the house.:o

Ooh missed you, welcome back, now get comfy and don't go disappearing on us!

DS1 felt his interview went well - this is for Camp America, not uni.

Time for bed a minute I think, the day has gone so fast - again, must be a sign of getting old.

Just seen Gove is announcing a U-turn tomorrow on GCSE reforms. Well that's tomorrow taken care of for me then.

  • morning

didn't get as much done yesterday as I wanted as electric was off most of the day (courtesy of the DR repair work around the stack pipe)

loads of washing folded, towels Anthea style, and all DS flip-flopped, my stuff hung up and DD2 and DD3 put in their rooms, small pile of clothes in ironing basket.

Skint Baby's clothes soaked in utility sink ready for boil wash later, dirty clothes fling and sorted out to utility for when electric came back on at about 7pm, WM x 6 and TD x 5 (more folding/ironing to do today)

    DW x 2

Managed a 3 hour nap with DS this afternoon once DD3 came in from school. (Skint Baby started whimpering in her moses basket, but as I hadn't jumped to my feet instantly DD3 picked her up and cuddled her for two hours in front of TV :A:A as I was dead to the world!)

Didn't get through to Dr's lines busy everytime I tried - I have a box of sharps to take in, so I may attempt to drive tomorrow and take a paper list so I don't forget anything

DD2 got her 3rd Conditional Offer from Uni of Essex, so that makes 3 for 3 so she is chuffed to bits, just needs to get two open days out of the way, then go with her gut feeling on the best one.

I have spent all my life (well from about age 6) burning the candle at both ends and periodically I try burning it in the middle aswell which doesn't work, but it is usually connected with the paid stuff. Which is great when it works well (16 hour days in a Call Centre would pass in the blink of an eye) but after a while it catches up with me. So I know I need to pace myself but flying for the most part doesn't require contact with the outside world (you lovely flyladies and flygents are part of my inside world now so it doesn't stress me coming on here :A ) so once I get my head in gear and know what I am doing, its a lot easier.

After dinner this evening, the new next door neighbours are popping in to see Skint Baby so I need to make an effort with Wednesday's list and make sure Holly is well fed and settled before they come (b/feeding in front of anyone even family stresses me big time, so I just don't) as using her little plastic cup (more like a thimble really!) is hard going and she spits back about half and it is such a waste of milk....still no point crying over spilt milk ;)

Time to get another 40 winks in before shoe horning them all out of the door, catch up again later
The cold never bothered me anyway

  • Good morning! My GUAG is back with a vengance, so much so that I was able to finish jobs and then snuggle on the sofa yesterday afternoon, and read my book for an hour :j:j:j
Good luck to both lads. Which unis are they interviewing at? My DS is at Imperial.

Master Penguin was also at Imperial yesterday. It was his second visit (after the Open Day) and he loves it even more. He's now considering throwing over that uni on the Fens to go and study at London Town. His choice, I say :D

had a special day off (benefit of being a job sahre) and went to Manchester with DS; he has an offer there; he is now most taken with the uni.

I am most taken with the fact that the Campus he will be 'on', should he go is on Oxford Road, where there is a train station. Which, by cunning means, is where we got off, and later back on, the train. It only cost us £6 to go (each) but £10 to come back :rotfl:

    There's a message there - don't leave Manchester :rotfl:
