    Evening all

had a special day off (benefit of being a job sahre) and went to Manchester with DS; he has an offer there; he is now most taken with the uni.

I am most taken with the fact that the Campus he will be 'on', should he go is on Oxford Road, where there is a train station. Which, by cunning means, is where we got off, and later back on, the train. It only cost us £6 to go (each) but £10 to come back :rotfl:

Flying - emptied WM into TD emptied TD and folded like a ninja - so nothing to iron (cheers loudly)
    emptied DW

Took knitting with me on train - lots of rows knitted
    5 e bay sales
    *woot*

I grew up in Manchester and if he chooses to go there, Valli, he will have a fab time! 24 years after moving to York I still miss some aspects of city living - buses that run past 8pm, big gigs, decent shopping....

    There's a message there - don't leave Manchester

I took that to mean they were so desperate to have us they let us in *almost* free;)

Technically I am, actually, Mancunian as the town where I was born became, in later years, part of Greater Manchester; I prefer to think of myself as Lancastrian; I am more than happy for DS to head *back* North West - and the Lancastrians are so friendly - and another hour or more and I would have had my old accent back....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway, going to attack under-the-stairs. I have a colleague who has passed me so much packing it is a nightmare in there - I have decided I will sort the bubble wrap and put it in bin bags (there IS that much) and put that in the shed.

I have already bleached the tile grout in the bathroom; the windows are open so the house is fresh but cold.

    Penpen

mumof2 I've read up on the day light lamps but there are quite a few on the market and they seem so dear. Which have you got and would you recommend it?
Hi Betsie, the one I'm using is a goLITE p1; quite small and I just sit it on the computer hard drive and shine the light on my face. The key thing is you look at the light from time to time as you get the sunlight affect that way; not through the skin as I had thought. I'm only borrowing this one but am pleased with it and DH is researching getting me one over the summer months on fleabay as they may be cheaper then (hopefully!). Hope that helps.

    Hi ladies.

Quick post, little flying done apart from bathroom bits Monday. Tuesday was Options evening at school so outmost of night and then today has been a no-goer as been with DH at GP's and hospital as no better and still chuckyuppy. Been on a drip and being kept in overnight pending numerous investigations and test results.
Poor DH, I was hospitalised when pg with DS and on a drip as was very dehydrated. I hope he gets better soon and hasn't had to have the Stemetil injection in his thigh as that hurts like mad :(. Get well soon vibes winging his way.
Lovely view of the sunrise from my kitchen this morning :)
Yes gorgeous wasn't it; let's hope it stays nice all day as I'm walking the dog this pm with a friend!

Going to do some paid work now, then debating going shopping late morning instead of tomorrow. We've got low on eggs and milk and I begrudge paying almost double the price to go to our hugely over priced Nisa store when A**i is close by.
