Good evening!
Well you can add me to the "gutted"s
Been a lifelong Chelsea supporter, who married an Arsenal supporter, then spawned 3 more Arsenal supporters:rolleyes: DS4 doesn't like football. Still that's life.
Been really busy this last couple of days. Yesterday was lovely. DH and I did a couple more hours of gardening, then went to a posh garden centre about 45 minutes away. Got some lovely plants and had lunch there. Really nice restaurant and we had bagettes filled with local kent sausages and onions:D Really yummy, and so big it was a struggle to finish, but you'd be proud of me, I persisted to the end:rotfl: :rotfl:
Today we've started the massive clear-up of the back garden. Took 8 sacks of rubbish to the recycling centre:eek: Then we "shared" the ironing and that's all up to date:T All in all a productive day.
Tomorrow I'm out with one friend during the day, then out for a meal with two different friends in the evening. Life is good at the moment. Hope it lasts.
Best get off now, I want to water some pots that are looking a bit thirsty.
PP it's absolutely true nobody is forced to read any posts, let them that don't like yours just bypass them:D Your meals sounded lovely, and even lovelier when free:rotfl:
CMxx
PS catznine, loved your wedding photo! Your DH was wearing an almost identical suit to the one my DH wore for our wedding:rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Evening everyone! Have just cleared up after dinner – HM burgers, salad and fried pots which was lovely, followed by stewed plums and yoghurt. Have watered garden, wrapped a birthday present for posting tomorrow and sorted out items to list on eBay (half-price listing fee tomorrow!). Did MOST of the ironing but DH came home from work earlier and made me stop for a cuppa and then I just packed the iron away! I’ll try and finish it tomorrow. Have GD coming earlier than usual tomorrow – her pre-school is closed for voting. We’ll walk up to the post office and then to the swings. Then I have DS2 and his GF coming round for dinner tomorrow night which we’re looking forward to.
DONNY-GAL – I am mid-fifties now and don’t feel it yet. I keep waiting to feel ‘grown-up’ but it doesn’t seem to be happening! Can’t be a bad thing, can it? My mum is nearly 77 and says she doesn’t feel like an adult, either! She doesn’t act like one half the time either!
PATENTGIRL – Good luck with the bread. I’m trying DANNA’S new recipe tomorrow. Who needs Delia? I don’t!
TIRED MUM – I hope you have a lovely time in Nice. It’ll be wonderful at the end of the month.
MEANMARIE – you do not ramble and what you talk about is not rubbish! I enjoy reading everyone’s posts on here and am only sorry that sometimes I can only skim through them. I get mad when I find I’ve missed something important that is going on in someone’s life; I hope that doesn’t make me sound nosey?! One of the beauties of this thread is that we are all living life with its trials, tribulations and occasional triumphs and, if one of us is feeling unwell, anxious, angry or just plain ‘down’, it makes the world of difference to be able to tell you all on here and know you’ll understand and come up with advice and sympathy. We’re all treating that hurtful post to PP with the contempt it deserves. The rest of us truly are here for each other. So, to MEANMARIE and everyone else except whoever pm’d PP, keep posting!
QUEENIE –I must have missed your recipe for Laundry Powder – please let me have it, if it’s not a secret, of course! I know it’ll be good because your meatloaf recipe is brilliant.
Well, nothing on television as usual and, if there was, I’d only fall asleep anyway, so I think I’ll have a bath and an early night. I’m reading my third Anne Tyler which I’m really enjoying. I have listed a few books on Amazon – my first go with them. I have so many books because I can’t resist buying them in charity shops. MY DH goes mad because I keep saying I won’t buy any more – I have loads lined up to read but I just can’t stop looking for more!
Anyway, if my bath wakes me up I’ll look in here again later – if not, have a lovely evening and I’ll catch up tomorrow!:grouphug: :grouphug:

Well Hello!
Not read anything today as too busy at work doing stuff to make sure things go OK while off for 2 weeks. So hello to anyone new, hugs and love to anyone needing it.
Busy, busy day at work but I think I have things sorted apart for the unexpected when I go off on Friday. Hung out huge washing this morning, now all in and ironed, plus two out of 4 repair sewing jobs done. Also cleaned out fish as they were bogging! Will have to sort out Cookie the hamster over the weekend. DGSs would love him to go over for hols but how do I do it on the motorbike on Sunday?? Neighbours will have to come into play I think.
So far acceptances for the party for DH's 60th up to 40! It should be a good night! Hope I am not too hung over to post when it happens -weekend after we get back from Spain.
Hope you are all OK.
Lots of love

Evening all
back to w*rk today which was actually quite nice as I work with some lovely people.
sorry chelsea fans but dd is still bouncing after last night's game - could be the effect of the very late night though.
OSwise I have sent exoh back to his mum's - he is allowed to stay over a couple of nights a week but has been here for a month. the last umpteen straws came and went until, berating him for not clearing up after himself, he told me not to worry as he doesn't mind the mess. Well a half an hour later he had learned quite a lot about himself and hopefuly now realises that I am neither his wife, mother or even some kindly soul who has taken him in. He has sent me a text declaring himself "sorry if I have been taking the pish" IF! IF! grrrr!
Pen-Pin - offload away - if people don't like it they don't have to read it do they? Personally I find this forum very supportive and none of us knows when we're going to need a cyber-hug or two
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
PenPin - pm me what is going on if I can help? Hope you are OK? As said before I haven't read today's thread.
