    Morning All

PP - I agree with everyone - not a problem with me.

Feeling quite motivated at the moment. Just need to wipe down the kitchen worktops then off for school run. Have already put 1 load in the wm, as its a nice day here there will be a few more today, emptied dw and checked my banks online.

Plan for today is firstly take puppy to the vets for his first checkup after his op. Then in my office for some horrible filing. This afternoon will pop to Asda for some bits and thats about it. Need to contact 2 friends who I am meeting for lunch tomorrow to see where we are going.

Gonna go and clean the kitchen now - have a lovely day.

L - something in wholemeal bread
D - roast chicken and all the trimmings.

    Good morning all,

Well, I have just spent the most fabulous few days in London with RacyRed.

Racy was fantastic and really went out of her way to ensure I had a wonderful time. The pictures she posts just don’t do her apartment and her surroundings justice…the view from the balcony is amazing! We did lots of relaxing, lots of laughing and ate lots of fantastic food. On Monday afternoon we went for a long walk in the park and I couldn’t believe the squirrels were so tame that they happily took nuts from our hands. Mr Racy made us some delicious meals so I’ve come home with lots of new recipes and managed to pick up some mega cheap spices from the local Asian supermarkets.

As for the coots…watching them is addictive. The tiny coot is the sweetest thing, but boy can he make a lot of noise if he’s hungry! So we spent quite a bit of time sitting on the balcony sipping red wine and pouring peas and sweet corn over when he started shouting up for more food. I think that these may well be the most cosseted coots in London…I bet there aren’t many who get home made bread specially made for them!

Today, I’m back to earth with a bump! I have a Homestart training course this morning and then I’m back to work tonight. The lovely thing is that thanks to Mr Pink and the kids, I came home to a spotless house. They had done all the housework! :A So there’s none for me to do today and all I have to worry about is what to make for tea. Perhaps I should go away more often. :D

Anyway, I’d better go and get myself organised…

    Have a great day everyone.

    Pink

And sort out tea which is roast chicken and jacket potatoes. I think.

Yes I've not long got up and my head isn't in gear quite yet.

My new Kenwood Chef came yesterday and is lovely. Havent used it yet, but will wait for a better day then try it. Bought a cover on Ebay for it...blue with pink polkadots:D Looks very impressive though and they sent me a cookbook worth £20, so cant be bad. I am thinking of buying the veg peeler attachment as this will make it easier for me....what do you think?

I have the veg attachment Penny, it works OK, you have to "eye" the veg afterwards, and it works best if yo can keep things the same size. TBH has not been out of the cupboard for years! We tend to eat new spuds with the skins on these days, and with only two of us never think of getting it out, plus DH is a dab hand at carrots, parsnips and potatoes:o We used to use it when we had the parents down for a meal, and DS was home too, but the parents are not with us now, and DS is at uni, and don't tend to cook that sort of meals if we have friends down.

Don't get upset by the PM (whoever it was from) It is awful when you hurt, I usually am fine, but really getting mad about my leg hurting and hobbling like a B Old Woman when I get up , and we know you hurt a lot of the time. Keep rambling.

Amie - Where are you this morning?

I got up at 3.50 wide awake, tried going back to sleep with no avail, so I got up, didn't start the PC up, but looked at if there was anything to watch on night time Sky TV - zilch!! that interested me anyway. So got out my books and looked at my Spanish homework, best time of me to do it really, as I am a morning person, and it did (slightly) make sense! so time no wasted, and I really do not seem to need much more.

Can anyone explain, then when away with the caravan and in Spain I can sleep until 8-9ish, but at home - no chance?

    Morning all!

I haven't only just got up, I was out late last night so slept in till 6.45!:T Been working since I got up, just taking a little break to actually get washed and dressed and see what you're all up to:D

Penny-Pincher - I felt really bad for you when you said that someone told you that you go on about your health  that's nonsense, the whole point of this board (in my opinion anyway) is that we help and support one another. So you tell us as much as you like, I find it really helpful to get things off my chest to people who don't know me personally and are completely unjudgmental, you can pour out stuff that you wouldn't tell your nearest and dearest for fear of worrying or burdening them. :grouphug: I think that was very mean spirited of whoever PM'd you - so there!

No training clients for me today so here's the plan:

    Walk dog
Put WM on (get a couple of loads done today)
    Quick blitz of house cleaning
Make bolognese for OH's dinner = 7 portions for freezer
Plant up two hanging baskets with Strawberries
Plant up my chitted potatoes in three huge tubs
Write some letters to try and encourage some new advertsiers into my magazine
    Pay some bills:(

Let's hope I get all that done!

Going on a jewellery making course tonight and for the next 5 wednesdays after - just for fun!

    Right, off I go - have a lovely day everyone!(particularly Penny-Pincher:grouphug: )
    October grocery challenge(started 17/10/07):
    Asda - £11.98
    Aldi - £10.36

Parking pot: £1.00 (everytime I walk into town instead of parking on pay and display, I put the money saved in a jar)

PP - You carry on posting what you like - as others have said - your health is as much a part of your day as planting out seeds is to others.

Catowen - Awww a new little one to look after, was always nice to have the babies start, good luck with the walking.

Hugs to those in need this morning

Feeling much better today after yesterdays dodgy tummy (we had chinese at the weekend, as a treat, guess it wasn't such a treat after all!!). Today I need to crack on with some gardening, got 20 rubble sacks to fill  After tackling a really overgrown, fenced off area of the garden I've decided to dig out and level the ground but it's all old bricks and rubble so need to get cracking on it - just waiting for the sun to move round a bit, it's in the shade at the moment and with the strong wind here it's quite chilly.

HM chicken and veg pies for tea with corn cobs and mash.

    Have a great day all.

    Morning everyone.

PennyPincher - You don't go on at all. We are all interested and concerned to hear if you are okay each day or if you're not okay we like to know too, so we can maybe, possibly send some helpful words.

SnowyOwl - Pleased you had a good night sleep x

BargainRzl - That post of yours last night re Delia was so funny, it make me really chuckle when I read it.

Catznine - Lovely wedding photo, you both look so happy. We have lots of friends getting married at the moment, and in all the stress of the weddings they almost seem to have forgotten that that's what it's all about and what will make it last (for 31 years - and the rest!)

We went out with some friends last night, it was so nice to see them haven't seen them for about a month for various reasons and we normally meet up once a week. We discovered a great pub just down the road from us both which we had all been ignoring (my OH has been driving past it and ignoring it for 20 years ) because it looks a bit grim from the outside, but I stumbled across a great review of it. So we tried it and loved it, a proper old fashioned pub. We're going to do the quiz next week :D

Going to meet a former colleague for lunch today and going to friends house to let in a delivery driver at some point this morning. Will put some more stuff on ebay before the sun comes out (and I sneak into the garden) too. Make a few phone calls and think about finding something for dinner.

Hope everyone has a good day x

    Good Morning Everyone!
Lovely day here in Essex - washing blowing gently on the line by 7am! (Am I feeling smug with myself? You bet I am!)
Penny-Pincher, don't understand how anyone would be so mean-spirited as to say you go on about how you feel - we're supposed to care for each other on here, right? You let us know how you feel, that's exactly what any friends are for!
Me, I'm also pleased to see that second star has mysteriously appeared! Yeah!
Have a good day, whether working at home or outside. Hugs to all who need them - especially PP!

    Morning everyone

<<Penpin>> I really enjoy reading your posts. One of the things which makes this thread so warm is that people chat about real things and what's reallky going on in their lives and that's why I like it here.

Off to have my hair cut. Nothing drastic (although I do want to cover the emerging greys next time and after reading DLB's post I thought about something more dramatic), just a trim this time.

Off to the gym afterwards, it's weigh and fat measure day. I've already weighed and I haven't lost anything...but I didn't expect to. Have been loads and sampling lots of wine.

May tackle the bedroom later, depends on how loudly the chair in the garden calls me.

Have a lovely day everyone xx
