Hi everyone
Sorry, not been around much of late. I do try and pop in but if I can manage 5 minutes, that's about all at the moment. I just don't have the attention span atm to read through long threads(I think I must be a bit depressed)
Things are VERY bad here at Chez Mouse. "Himself" is still here and making life exceedingly difficult to say the least. Our buyers pulled out and then the house I'd offered on has gone to someone else as wellI just can't see the end, although I know that soon I'll be looking back on it, in my own house with my boys :J Roll on those times
Anyway, it was DS1's 8th birthday yesterday and I have DS2's 5th to look forward to in 3 weeks. I've also my mum's, as well as my niece's 18th this month too - so expensive month
OS front - the house needs a quick going over. It was spotless this weekend as we had viewers but I haven't touched it since. I have loads of ironing to do as well, but a couple of dvd's I need to watch while I do it. (I tried the other night but couldn't concentrate) Need to get something out of the freezer for tea - chicken I think. Oh, that reminds me, I need to defrost the small freezer as I can't get in the top drawer. Job No. 1 for today.
Right, must crack on. I sort of have a little motivation atm so best put it to good use. (((hugs))) to everyone and sorry if I've missed any startling news.
PP - chin up girl, I'll try and get on msn this week hun.

Morning all! Just a quick one at the mo. Loads to do but have skimmed the thread and will catch up later. PENNYPINCHER - how dare anyone say you go on about your health too much?! You're amongst friends here and we all know what friends are for. Whoever pm'd you should feel ashamed of themselves. For heaven's sake -if you can't share your worries and concerns here, then it makes for a sad world. (((hugs))) to you and all who need them. So glad you got a good night's sleep SNOWY! I had a pretty bad night - I think there's a lot of pollen around and I wake up in the night with terrible sniffles. I don't get hayfever (well, I did when I was a child, apparently, from feathers, but I haven't had it since I was four years old) and we don't have feather pillows so I think it must be pollen. DH keeps complaining about the 'sand' on the car after he washed it and, when I looked, it was yellow (DH is colour blind so he thought it was red!) so I think that must be it! Anyway, must go - so much to do and the ironing fairy didn't turn up in the night! Will catch up later. Hope everyone has a good morning.

Morning all..........not sure what has happened to the sun this morning, but its not shining and OH says it B***** cold out.
Waiting for Parcel Force to collect a parcel between 10am and 3pm, so very much a prisoner in the house today...........put the macoroni on to make mac chese and then remembered we have some cold lamb to eat, so guess whats for lunch!!!!!
Trying to put things togather for our hols, remembered yesterday to find the travel insurance policy and put it in the bag with all the other travel stuff on top of the travel bag...........today I need to put the dry goods we need in poly bags and in the crate, also start and sort out the tins and boxes of stuff we are taking with us.
Meter reader has just been so that means that we are being changed over to our new providers shortly............
Not really sure what else I am going to do today............I am not going to wash until Monday.........so probably 2 loads one whites one coloured......and most of it will not need ironing.
Sunday will be baking day, carrot cake and scones, maybe shortbread as well although we do get scrummy shortbread in France.
OH has the printer out so I need to print off details of the places we need to go to whilst we are away......I found the place we are staying at on Google Earth yesterday and managed to follow a route to get there.
Off for my coffee ...................see y'all later.............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning :hello:
Penny-Pincher!! - as others have already said, your posts don't seem to contain too much about you healthNormally you just mention how you're feeling and then move on to other things
and it's a big part of your life so what's wrong with talking about it anyway?
Pink-winged/RacyRed - glad you had a lovely time at Racy's
catznine - I finally saw that wedding photo of yours last night - thought it was lovely (and neither you nor Mr Catz has changed that much since) I love the sleeves on your wedding dress, they make you look like you should be a damsel in distress at the top of a tower with one of those pointy hats on
I'm not much into OS cooking for the next couple of weeks as I'm running down the freezer so that when they bring my new one, there's not too much stuff left to have to farm out into other people's freezers! Lunch is a portion of the asparagus soup I made last week (it's lurrrrrvely) and I don't know about dinner. I would prefer to wait till I get home late this evening (so as to use up something else from the freezer!) but if I'm starving I might have a takeaway jacket spud with butter on my way out for the evening - there's a stall in Covent Garden market which does this for £1.85, which I think is incredibly reasonable for such a tourist trap. Course, if you want cheese on it the price rockets to about £4  ...hmm, perhaps what I should do in future is plan to eat there in advance and take my own grated cheese in a little bag :rotfl:. I'm off to an opera (what else?) this evening, with a standing ticket that cost me £11. It's not a show I know very well so I am looking forward to seeing it.
Anyway, must press on today as am very busy with work, I've written myself a stern "to do" list which I WILL finish by the end of the day!
See you later
Love Rzl
Edit: Ticklemouse, hugs to you :grouphug: - I'll make sure I get onto msn this week tooOperation Get in Shape

Morning all hope everyone is well, hugs to those who aren't inc Penny Pincher, you're not moaning honey, it's just real life, having someone to share these things with I find helpful and I hope you do too.
Pink Winged and Racy Red sounds like you both had a great time
Well Puppy who got injured last night, hmm little minx, she was hobbling again so I was ready to call the vets, I let her outside and she was running around the garden, then when se came in hobbled again. Seems as soon as I turned my back she did it. I left the room and she did a leap onto the sofa (I seen of course) then when I came in to tell her to move she held the poorly paw out! The little monster was playing on it, something I didn't thing dogs were capable of!! She's decided to stop playing on it now, has a slight limp, rang vets and told her and she laughed, said it happens a lot.
Anyway, already gutted old freezer and transfered to new, scary as the old one was almost full, when I put it into the new one it still looks empty! Defrosting old one as it's all icey from when kids left door open. Listed what I have in, have ordered home delivery for this week for basics, trying to stock up early get things planned then just buy fresh fruit, veg etc etc. I think it'll work better for me as regular shops I find hard to resist overspending.
Got a list a mile long to do so best read a few threads, finish my cuppa and get a wriggle on. Hope everyone has a good day.One day I might be more organised...........

Catowen your posts remind me of my childminding days (I’ve been finished 4years now) you do miss them when they’ve gone, I cried when they all started school. But it’s lovely to have a baby again, it satisfy’s all your maternal instincts without having to have any more of your own and they go home at tea time!:D
Penny-Pincher take no notice of the pm, I have been reading your posts for a while now and with your health problems and all the things you achieve I think you should change your username to wonderwoman.:A
