Hi! Just popped back on to know if there's anyone else like me - just can't get on with doing something I really want to do! Have cut out GD's dress, have done tailor-tacks, have set up machine, have read through the instructions.......and that's as far as I've got! Afraid I tend to do this with other jobs too..all the preliminaries and then it's like hitting a brick wall! I tell myself I've plenty of time, no need to rush at it, but just get stuck. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

    Afternoon all,

What a beautiful day...the wind is just nicely keeping it from being too hot.

To airport this am with the Amsterdam contingent, DGD2 was not very happy, she loves company and will be a pain for her Mam for the next few days, they goes swimming and to a mother and toddler group and to DDIL's friends who have children but obviously not the same as having adoring grandparents, uncles aunts and older cousins to fuss about her, they are off to Japan in a couple of weeks for three weeks with the other grandparents and to top up her Japanese, amazing how easy it seem to be fluent in two languages at 2 and understanding bits in Gaelic and Dutch as well.

I am sure that many people consider my ramblings to be rubbish and I hope they tune out, we can't all have the same interests, lifestyle or health and I would have to say that I haven't felt that people 'go on' about anything...let he who is without sin etc!

OH cooked dinner to-day so we have eaten and tidied up and now all I really have to do is take in clothes from line, hang out bedding still waiting and get on with the rest of the bedding waiting to be done. Then I will head to the garden to water what I have recently sown as there is no sign of rain according to met people....I am not complaining!

Lilac is flowering beautifully this year and I have several vases in the house, which smells all the better for it.

Hugs to anyone feeling in need...Shez I hated work hassle and is probably one of the reasons that I am retiring, but as someone said it is only work so try to let it go.

    Enjoy the good weather everybody.

... I had a PM yesterday stating that I always go on about my health, so I apologise if I do:o ...
Ignore it! You do have serious health issues which are very much a part of your every day life (certainly not apart from it!). Whoever sent the PM has a choice to bypass your posts if they don't want to read them; you have no choice regarding your health! ;)

I sometimes bypass and miss loads on the daily these days ... mainly because I'm time restricted ...

.. and on that note ... sorry chaps, haven't read the whole thread today :o But I have had a reasonably good day :D:D:D

Had my mock exam today - completed in half the alloted time (woohoo!) and I'm all geared up now for THE exam on Friday. After that I can go on to the next module :j :j :j

D12yo made Quiche for Food Tech today (after all the issues with his previous teacher, he is now in another group) and he scored a wicked 9/10 for his endeavours WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!! To see his confidence finally growing rather than being inhibited is absolutely wonderful. The quiche wasn't bad either :rotfl: ;)

Recruited two more ladies into the idea of HM Laundry Powder today. Just need to copy out the recipe for them :D Actually, I'm going to give them a sample each of my own + the recipe so they can try before they make it up. Slowly, slowly catchy monkey ;) It's all very well on here where people *want* to be OS or know about OS, but it's another matter entirely when they don't know about MSE and haven't encountered the concept of making their own stuff - but they do both like saving money, sooooo ... watch this space ;)

Tomorrow is another stuck-in-awaiting-deliver-day ... bit of revision, fair bit of housework and a sit in the sun will be the order of the day.

((hugs)) for those who need/want them - get well wishes to anyone under the weather and finally, to all who are doing even ONE thing OS ... keep up the good work and very well done to YOU!! :D:D:D

    Good afternoon everyone,

First - whoever PMed Penny Pncher saying she shouldnt be posting about her health should be downright ashamed of themselves!!! This is a daily thread for people to share their days and as you can see from EVERYONES posts, NOBODY minds her sharing her health problems, so if YOU dont like it, DONT READ IT!!!!

Well, ive had a busy day, but not quite sure what ive done!!! Left the oven shelves in the bath overnight, soaking in washing powder, but it hasnt made any difference, so guess i will just have to do it the old fashioned way, and use a bit of elbow grease!!!
Have cut the grass, out front and back, moved some strawberry plants and topped the car up with windscreen wash and oil, so thats something.
New LO cried when his mum first left, had a sleep and then was fine, really enjoyed having him here (was only for 2 hours mind you) hes a dear little chap, and the other 2 'regulars' were good as gold as well - def makes my job easier.
We've just had our dinner - HM cottage pie, and it was delish, ive also made 2 smaller ones for the freezer so that will be good for when i cant be bothered to cook. Will need to do some baking in the next couple of days, will rope the LOs in to help i think!!

Im off to finish my glass of wine (had to open a bottle to add a splash to the gravy!!) and then off to water the garden.

((HUGS)) to all who need them
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hi everyone!

:T :T Still on cloud nine after Liverpool beating Chelsea last night! :T :T

    LIVERPOOL 4 CHELSEA 1

DH went to the club to watch the game and rolled home in such a happy mood last night. There is a great buzz here at the moment (well for us LFC fans!). Not sure if I want Man U to win tonight as they are our arch rivals, no love lost there!. Sorry to go on about the football, but I was brought up on it what with having 2 older brothers.

Right back to my day, well I've done loads of cleaning, mopping, hoovering and dusting. I made a lovely shep pie for tea and had strawberries for afters. The washing has been washed, dried and finally ironed.
The weather here has been great again and it looks like it's here to stay until Sunday!!! :j

I'm in w*** tomorrow and will try to get to bed earlier tonight.

PennyPincher Take no notice of that person and their pm, what a cheek!!

Thanks for all the PM's and lovely comments:o.....TBH, I have bigger things to worry about ATM...they can take a run and jump:D OS is my only outlet (saddo that I am)...so if you dont like it...dont read it:p

Needed to get out today, so we picked DD up and went to Bluewater. Went to M&S and got DD her 2 bras, a Per Una skirt (reduced) and a Per Una Shirt (reduced)...had £20 of vouchers, so only had to pay £24:D ...then we had a lovely FREE dinner at John Lewis with the complimentary meal up to the value of £25...we spent £24.65:rolleyes: ....it was delish! DD had a posh baguette with steak, onion and chips, OH had a FR Gammon steak, 2 eggs, toms and bubble/squeak and I had Pan Fried Lambs Liver, creamy mash and caramilised onions with a slice of back bacon on the top.....yummyyyyyy....then DD had a cookie, OH & I shared a cream tea and DD had a coke. It does pay to complain sometimes. OH bought 2 DVD's from HMV for £6. So spent £30 and got quite alot;)

DW was emptied earlier, all clothes put away, found DD's mobile and got rid of some of her junk. Havent done any of my essay today, but OH & I have decided that as we have the cleaner coming in the morning, we are going to go to the park with a flask, blanket and sarnies/cakes and do it (the essay!) in the sunshine:eek:    :rotfl: ....I have all the material, just have o put it into essay form:rolleyes:

Anyway, Im off to have a cuppa.

    Thanks again guys.
