Morning Everyone! (sun has got his hat on hip hip hip hooray)

Sun is shining in Old London Towne, cuppa at ready - lovely jubbly!:D

Popped to B&Q last nite and got some geraniums, petunias, busy lizzies for bargain price of £7.90 - although I am aware that we do have chilly morns & nites so mustnt plant out till end of May.
Then helped DH prepare a c.V. to send off for a new job.

Then cut DS1 hair - who "thankfully" came home in good mood due to the Liverpool win! (dlb -i know where your coming from!)
So that just leaves the ironing, which I might tackle in a minute.

Day 3 of diet/healty eating - I have been v.good so far (amie) and must keep going! like you catowen - I will be walking kids to school too!

snowy - what seeds are you planting? I got one of those mini greenhouses but I dont know what to put in it, not sure what veg is not too late to plant? enjoy your day off work too!:D

best crack on now, have a good wednesday all xxx

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Good Morning!:hello:

We had a lovely meal last night, I had mozzarella and tomatoes in basil and olive oil followed by lobster and tiger prawn risotto, followed by sorbet, coffee. Dh had polento with creamy mushroom sauce, fillet of beef with french beans and saute potatoes, sorbet, coffee all with a beautiful red wine. Cost£81! but was so nice!:D Today we are recovering!;) Not sure how much flyladying will get done!

Looks like a lovely drying day today so must go gather up all the towels for washing.

I have managed to get a friend to collect the orange carrier bags from Sainsburys for me so will be turning those into yarn. Very easy to do:-

Flatten out carrier bag, fold over lengthwise twice then cut off the bottom seam and the handles.

Cut into strips of 1" wide, they will be loops which you can tie together just thread 1 loop through the other (I had to practice this) and pull gently together.

Join all the loops in this way and wind up into a ball of "yarn".

They can be knitted, crocheted or woven into rugs, shopping totes, coasters, place mats and even chickens!

Thank you Queenie for the instructions for making a loom! not sure if dh can manage this but maybe one of our friends can!

I will be giving this a go when we get back. This time next week we will be at Discovery Cove!:j and within a day or two of seeing Shamu!

    Have a lovely day! (((Hugs)))

(((Hugs))) PP take no notice! We don't mind at all just wish we could take your pain away! You will love the kenwood, my Mum used all the attachments including the veg peeler!

My new Kenwood Chef came yesterday and is lovely. Havent used it yet, but will wait for a better day then try it. Bought a cover on Ebay for it...blue with pink polkadots:D Looks very impressive though and they sent me a cookbook worth £20, so cant be bad. I am thinking of buying the veg peeler attachment as this will make it easier for me....what do you think? Its £25 and peels any hard/root veg including spuds:confused: Also decided to take out the 5yr cover for £30.

enjoy your new kenwood PP!! that cover sounds great! Funny last nite I bought one of those slicing machines (TSV) ive been looking for ages at them, they seem quick and the machine is not as big - I do have a Moulinex, but TBH i cant be bothered in getting out the cupboard just for slicing some cucumber etc - but if you are going to leave your kenwood out all the time then yes it might be worth getting the slicing tools etc - im sure someone with an actual Kenwood will be able to give you more proper advice (HTH)

ps: i dont think you go on;) take care hunxx

Edit: catznine - Glad you had a lovely meal! ooo yr off next week, great!!
not sure i followed the carrier bag method too well though!

    Morning all!!

Glad u had a full nights sleep snowy!!

Things are hectic here as usual. I defrosted some sliced cooked apples (here's one I made earlier..) last night with the intention of making an apple pie, but DD2 had been having terrible nose bleeds during the day and then fell asleep at 1630 and woke up full of beans at 1930!! I did her dinner and tried to settle her again - we ended up watching Tarzan and going to sleep together at bout 2200. She had another 2 nose bleeds in the night and then DD1 wet her bed. So a normal sleepless night in the jet household!!

I also had to deal with their Dad last night who still hasn't accepted that we are over 6 months on and is a nasty piece of work (reading that sentence back it sounds like I've 'dealt' with him and he's now in my freezer - but I can assure u that that's not the case).

Right on the OS front -

I've sorted out 3 loads of washing this morning and WM is back on again (with 2 loads waiting). TD is on also (no chance of washing drying on line here).

DD's are in bath as covered in blood and wee. They've had breakfast. I'm half dressed. Lunchbox is done and school diary signed.

I found out yesterday that the schools closed for polling day tomorrow!!!!!! I've got a meeting at work that I can't miss and have only just gone back properly after 4 months off with panic attacks/anxiety so I don't want to have more time off.

    L - Salad
D - Egg fried rice, HM apple tart/pie (haven't decided yet)

Hope every1 has a good day - I'm going to make my second cup of coffee coz I feel like I could sleep for a week!!

    Luv 2 all,
    Jxxx

    Hi all

Work day to day - though just a halfie. yaay.

PP - you go on about your health if you want to. We're friends here and we're interested an concerned about you. If your health is the big thing in your life then of course it's going to feature in your daily update. I really don't think we can censor people's posts. If the person concerned does not want to read about you, then they should skip your post. Easy. Please keep us informed - I for one like (not quite the right word but hopefully you know what I mean!) to know how you're doing. And I feel that it's great you can let off some steam here when often you don't want to worry family and friends.

Making some Borlotti Bean soup from Nigel's kitchen diaries tomorrow so I MUST soak the beans tonight. Please don't let me forget!

    Take care all.

    Good Morning All

snowy enjoy your unpaid leave! I think I would have also jumped at the chance to spend time away from work, whether paid or unpaid!
DLB the footie also made great viewing in our house too!
Emmy Liverpool won on penalties, it was a great match, and they played really well, and deserved it!

Ive washed some winter curtains which was passed on from OH's mum, They are very wide, and hopefully my cousin will be able to alter them to make another pair. They are out on the line, so I just hope it doesn't rain!

Right best be off and jump in the shower
    Have fun
    Love Emma xxx

    Morning all :D

SnowyOwl - Glad to hear you had a goods night sleep

twink - I know what you mean about animals and the weather, surprisingly our dog loves basking in the sun so he's having the time of his life at the moment, funniest thing is seeing him get up and move throughout the day to follow the sun moving across the garden

sahmx5 - Welcome back - glad to hear your de-cluttering is going well

Penny-Pincher!! - Good luck with the essay today, I know exactly how you feel but let me tell you how great you will feel when it's all done. Also I don't think you go on at all, we're all friends and your just telling us all how you feel each day. Nothing wrong with that in my book :D

catznine - Congrats for yesterday, I must admit that meal you described sounds fantastic

As for me I realised last night how much I've let things in the house slip, the main give away was the lack of food  Don't get me wrong we have stuff in but nothing I think I can make anything out of and considering we haven't been food shopping for about a month I think I need to get on top of that this evening and get back to meal planning as apparently my DH is none to keen on having butter sarnies for the rest of the week

Apart from that head back down and studying at the mo  and planning to tackle the spare bedroom on the weekend!

Hope everyone else is OK and as always take or leave the :grouphug: as needed
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same

I wont bore you with health problems as I usually do. I had a PM yesterday stating that I always go on about my health, so I apologise if I do:o
Don't apologise PP, you don't 'go on' about anything, it's just your daily news, just the same as everyone else posts their daily news :grouphug:

And I like reading about everyone's day cos I'm nosey :rotfl:
