  • No insurer should offer renewal of insurance for a greater price than they offer on comparison websites. This penalises the elderly and those without computer access.

The Government “assumes” that claimants receive £1 for every £500 capital/savings above the disregarded amount, i.e. more than 10% interest, when the reality today is around 1 %. I suggest a realistic “assumed income” based on, say, the current bank lending rate.
  • Make bus passes valid throughout UK not just in England Wales etc. We live in Wales on border our friends live in England so we cannot travel on buses together as too expensive even if there was 50% charge it would be fairer and better

The Campaign for Real Information - make it law that all businesses must explain all material facts to potential and actual customers as clearly and explicitly as possible.

Stop businesses from hiding behind misrepresentations of the law - for example Private Parking Companies and TV Licensing. Make it an offence to claim a legal duty or power when there is none in reality.

Rather than spending inappropriate international aid, the government should make major contributions to global issues that we all face at home, like cancer, stroke and heart disease research, which would help everyone

Now that the campaign over gay marriage is (almost) over can the government please work on stuff that really matters to the majority - the economy, health, education, infrastructure, immigration and not spend so much time on minority issues

  • Stop making clothes in large sizes
This probably isn't going to be popular but if you only make clothes up to a large/18 this will a) save money on the extra material needed to make larger sizes and b) encourage people to slim, which has the added benefit of reducing the NHS bill.

This is the most ridiculous suggestion yet. Fat people would look far worse walking around naked because they can't buy clothes!! Also tall women, could wear a size 18 and still be slim.
  • It's time to stop the banks behaving like criminals, ripping us off and wrecking our economy. If you want to do something about it look at positivemoney.org and join the growing movement for real change. We DO have the power to fix this.
