  • Limiting the payment of child benefit to the first two children born into a family would produce massive savings to government expenditure, as well as reducing the problem of feeding an expanding population. If a larger family is what you want, then fund it yourself.
  • Let's create something to help businesses (perhaps world wide!) to get more quickly informed and co-operate to help identify this crime. Seems banks do nothing to solve the problem and police don't care. If you don't bring to justice the culprits it just carries on.
  • 1) No chancellor may be put onto post unless s/he has a degree in finance.
    2) And anyone seeking election as an MP must be first CRB-checked. Any with crimes to be disqualified.
  • All expenses claims by MPs to be made public on a website for the public to view without restriction. Any BIK received by an MP to be declared on the same website.
  • Using a car to wilfully run over a person to be classed as attempted murder, rather than merely dangerous driving. The driver, if found guilty to be banned from driving for life.
  • Where a council goes bankrupt, like West Sussex, due to spending stupidly on lamp-posts and needless council buildings, etc etc, the councillors should all be investigated by police for wilful misuse of council funds and brought to court if evidence allows.
  • Re-introduce the option to buy private and not-new housing for the First Time Buyers Initiative. Currently only new-builds apply, these are ridiculously expensive and they offer the worst flats, with no gardens. I see no future in housing ownership otherwise.
  • Give Young Workers the right to paid holidays and a minimum wage - it's shameful that our children do not have these basic working rights. It is not a great introduction to the world of work!

  • Coins
Get rid of copper coins. They are worthless. Abandoning them would save metal and 'save a Mint' too. Nobody is fooled by the £1.99 tag! Credit people with a little common sense, there is still some around.
