I'd be grateful if you could start a debate to even up the current thinking surrounding the London housing shortage. 4 years of 0.5% interest rates have served buy-to-let landlords with a portfolio of 10-20 properties - they can borrow against the equity to buy more properties. Many estate agents are in on it for a back-hander. I've seen it happen.
There needs to be an investigation to see whether the playing field can be levelled. So I'm asking to table a debate about it. Thank you0 -
Abandon the GROWTH mantra. We don't need growth. All we need is for government to spend less than it has coming in. Cutting costs isn't bad. What's really bad is accumulating debt for our children to pay.0

Couldn't agree more! My late mother frequently became exasperated when receiving changes to (state) pension benefits of a few pence per week when it probably costs ££ per person to make the change!0
