A £10 administration fee could be charged to state penioners applying for their free bus passes. This small charge would help offset the cost of the card/photo and ensure those applying really did intend to use them. Revenue raised would be substantial in these austere times too.

Advertisements (and other things, but ad.s are worst offenders) shouldn't be allowed to conceal "weasel words" in print less than 2/3 the size, or elsewhere on page (especially on-screen, which should be legible by normal viewers, e. g. not <5% picture height). And asterisks without matching text - heavy fine!

Convict's in jail for MURDER GBH ABH etc. Put them in the army train them up then send them off to Iraq this would save money keeping them walled up all day and it may even give them an interest in life while cutting cost's.

When FAs illustrate potential performance of, for example £10K invested over 20 years growing at 7% growing to £38.7K - they should have to state the impact of their current charges on this return. E.g. a 3% upfront and 1% yearly charge, the return will be £30.7K - so charges are whopping £8K over 20 years or almost 28% of the total return. Funds also should have to do it.

We pay for our road tax so why are we not allowed to park on the road?

Personal Injury claims account for a large proportion of premiums . Why not introduce a No Injury Claims Bonus, as well as the No Accident Damage Claims Bonus, then the whiplash claimers would have to bear the extra cost. if we could trust the Insurance companies to pass the savings on to honest drivers.

Make companies justify charging more for payment by standing order or on-line than direct debit. (They mislead, referring to DD "discount".)

Of course, we know why: in any dispute, they've got your money, so you're in a weaker position. I'd even give some credit to any company who admitted this!

This has to stop. We are struggling financially as it is , now we are being forced out our homes by charging for an extra room that we cannot afford.
PLEASE PLEASE stop and use some of the other idea's on here to get money into the country, don't penalize us anymore we cannot cope.

We've paid tax on our incomes already. Heating and lighting the home is becoming too expensive. Its not a luxury. Why have VAT on it?

(And why are offices and shops in towns and cities lit up all night - what a waste of electricity and global warming)
