Hi tobiasp
I'm sorry you're still struggling to use your online account. As you've successfully logged in, I suspect you may be looking at an old account. Have you had previous accounts with us either at your current home or at another property?
As your account is coming over to us, it won't be fully set up yet so you won't be able to see all the details online at the moment. Once live, you'll have full use of your online account/facilities.
Let us know if you do have old accounts but don't need access to them anymore. Can soon cancel them.
Sorry if I'm barking up the wrong tree tobiasp.

Hi Malc & thank you for your reply.
First of all, I have never dealt with Eon in the past but have switched energy supplier online several times over the years and have never had any problems.
My introduction to Eon started as follows:-
6/11 - Signed up to the Cheap Energy Club's "Big Winter Switch Event"
7/11 - Received email from CEC to confirm application to Eon's Fixed 1 year V12 online.
12/11 - Email from Eon confirming all communications will be by email.
13/11 - Welcome Pack by email from Eon for V12 deal.
14/11 - Email from Eon asking me to activate my account.
14/11 - Account activated.
15/11 - Received a letter by post saying that I have registered to manage my account online.
17/11 - Email from Eon confirming account activation plus details of how I could save money by having a direct debit, dual fuel discount & paperless billing (which I thought I had already signed up to).
No further emails from Eon but the online account gave details of dates/deadlines for meter readings and that's when the problems started (as set out in my first post on this forum).
Then out of the blue, the account was closed.0 -
Dear Malc again,
Is my switch still on going?
Thanks a million,

Morning HawkFun
Hope you've settled in to your new home.
As the existing supplier, you'll already have a live account with us. The change we spoke about previously will be an internal tariff switch.
If you've registered online, you'll be able to see the tariff on the first page when you log in. It'll tell you when it ends too. We'll also write to you to confirm the details. The next bill following the product change will also show the tariff.
As you went through the Cheap Energy Club, I suspect you chose the MSE Collective Switching Tariff. A quick heads up with this tariff, we've been working our way through quite a backlog so you may not have seen it straightaway.
Hope this points you in the right direction HawkFun. Let me know if you need any more details as happy to help.

I'm still paying off a £300 bill that was whacked onto us after leaving a property at the end of our tenancy (9 month). I think these pay a fixed price each month tarriffs are rubbish and you should pay every month exactly what you use, unless you are planning on staying in a property for years (and thus may eventually pay back what you owe them without being given an immediate bill)0

Morning tobiasp
From what you've described, all seems to be on track with the actual account. It's the online bit that's causing the difficulty.
Other than what I've put above, I'm struggling to see why it should show as closed but am happy to take a look if you drop an email to the address in my Profile.
Look forward to hearing from you tobiasp.

I'm just changing to EON with the Cheap Energy Club (slightly cheaper than EDF and I have stacks of Credit with EDF, so will reclaim ) .Main problem EON have sent me two emails wanting meter readings .
1) You need an account number to be able to register and log in
2) The youtube video they give you saying how to give a meter reading without logging in does nothing of the sort . (I've watched it 3 times ; the only mention of people joining says you may not be able to give meter readings on line !)
I have logged 2 queries with them via their on line form with no reply.
All would be sorted if EON gave you an account number to start with !! << :mad:0 -
Morning Malc,
Still on EnergyPlan. Got no contact from E-On about this Cheap Energy Club or anything else. (Apart from 2 letters of account number which I called to set up.)
Thanks, HawkFun.0
