Or is it the SmirnoffSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
Just wanted to say, as a recent Old Style convert, keep up the good work girls (and guys). You're all lovely and I've already recommended you once or twice to people on the Debt Free Wannabe board.
I'm not the classic Old Style moneysaver - I'm in my mid-twenties, don't have kids (or plans for any) or even live with my partner, I work full time (quite long hours) and go out a lot. But right from the start I've felt welcome at this "coffee morning" - and I'm saving a fortune.
I reckon this board is about making the most of what you've got, which (99% of the time) is good old on-topic MoneySaving.
Thanks for all the good suggestions you've already had for me!Operation Get in Shape

MATH, thanks for remembering me, truly I haven't been around a lot - the reason being I have a new job (part time in an office) at the same time finishing my doula contracts, just done a birth and running 2 postnatal clients back to back - hence NO TIME for computer (I know, I know, I should make the forum my first priority hehehe)! Going to be very busy for the next few weeks then will be back posting as much as I used to!
Troo, please remind me what you were flogging me about, to make me lose weight, was it? Well if it was, I got news for you: yesterday I fitted into my daughter's size 16 jeans, which were too big for her but just right for me YIPPEE!
There you go, just a couple of lines and I am already off subject (but hey it was moneysaving to nick my daughter's jeans instead of going and buying a new pair! And think of how much money I have saved dieting so that Troo could not flog me anymore!)
Love to all as always,
I'll Be Back!

Just wanted to add my tuppence happenny worth and say that although I do also visit the other boards and have benifitted greatly from all the good advice out there (Thanks folks!
) I do love the unique welcome home feeling the Money Saving Old Style Board has.
I have fairly recently been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue and find I can't take in too much info at times so the light hearted banter and good old fashioned common sense plus the really great ideas from all you guys (& girls) is just the tonic I need. I do hope the style of posts won't change as on this board I have confidence to reply and to contribute as best I can.Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

I've got to unsubscribe from this topic. I thought I was in the Old Style, then the Arms, then Discussion. I have to keep looking up to see why I'm reading lol.
Now I've read about trout and how to sort one out, I realise I'm not in the pub or Discussion
Now keep still0 -
