Up to £10,000 per day by faster payment is their official amount but I input £15,000 to be sent to a payee (a savings account) forgetting about their limit I usually split payments and the message came up that the money would be in the other account that same day and when I checked it was there instantly. When I checked with First Direct they said as it was over £10,000 it would be sent by bacs, but it wasn't it went by faster payment."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0 -
It has cleared for me a couple hours later, not sure why it was slower. Could depend on either side I guess. Thanks for the replies0

How much did a day's interest come to?0 -
They rounded it up to £1 so I got £125.78 total net interest on the £300 per month I saved. Total £3725.78."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Some building societies online system are operated by third party banks so will take a couple of hours to show in your account. If you transfer to the likes of NatWest, Santander, HSBC it will be instant."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0 -

By my reckoning if you put in the full £300 per month it should be somewhere in the £3760 to £3762 range.
What has anyone else's closing balance been?MFiT-T3 :: Reduce mortgage to 80k (86.30%)0 -

I assume one is gross interest and the other net interest.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member
