no problem Zennith, I got the number from saynoto0870 if you call halifax, can you post any updates here

    I've just phoned them.

I was told, that they had been told it would be fixed by 4.30pm, but as it hasn't been, she had no other news.

I didn't get offered any money for my inconvenience - but then i just had an Easy Cash account :(

Why isn't MSE covering this story in their news section?

I started my thread ''Fibbing banks.......................'' at 6.40am today, in the Arms Forum.

The Forum Team moved it over here at about 10am, so MSE must be aware of it, because your thread was here by then.
  • I was told it'd be fixed at 4:30 as well. Very frustrating

OK - If I can not be certain that I can make a payment to LTSB on D-1 so that there are funds in my account for payments pending on D0 then I will take my banking elsewhere.

Similarly I thought salary payments were supposed to be credited on the expected day not that there was a day of grace for the banks?
    I think....
  • Has just been on the phone again to halifax, they have advised me the system is back up and running but cannot say when payments will be received as they are working their way through the back log. it could be from any time now till midnight. Doesn't help me out now but at least it's finally back up and running
  • Still down for me, when I try to send money to anybody it says

"Your recipient's account doesn't accept payments through the Faster Payments Service. Please click 'Confirm' if you're happy for us to process this as a Bacs payment."

The Lloyds internet banking line said that it was hoped to be working by 4:30 but, as that didn't happen, it obviously wasn't fixed as they had hoped and they are having to 'revisit' the problem.

He couldn't say when anything might now be working and couldn't say for sure that payments already set up would get there, or even leave the account, tomorrow.
  • Ok, so the payments I transferred into my Halifax account are finally showing on my online statement, however my available balance remains the same?? Haven't a clue what this means...
  • Just a warning to anybody with a returned payment trying to pay from Santander to Lloyds credit card. I resent a payment earlier today as the original one came back. Now Santander have resent the original standing order to lloyds so I have a duplicate payment to them.
