I've had to stop a couple of minutes early as I am hotter than a hot thing.
It turns out the sofa I use in the sitting room ... has a removable cover. Which I only found out because I hoovered it for the first time today. We've had it ten years :eek:Better is good enough.0 -
Right, I'm back in, but I know I'm going to struggle... Work, illness and trying to declutter all at once is absolutely killing me, and I also have 2 birthdays week  I need to stop trying to do everything at once, then getting disillusioned... even level 1s will help!

Hi all.
*Places extra-large pile of posi-vibes on table* Form an orderly queue and help yourselves; SickDog first, please.;) Good to hear the the ol' tail is wagging again.
Honey Bear how's your old woofer doing now?
I fear dusting is going to be an all-day task; it needs doing thoroughly, which mean bringing the trolley in and lifting each item carefully onto it using both hands, dusting the surface, then lifting all the items back again using both hands.:( It's incredibly boring, but it'll look better once it's done.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Lw why don't you try a small clean paint brush to dust with? that way to won't have to use both hands / arms to lift? just a thought for you.
Drive now clean of snow, thanks to the kids next door, whom seem to have created an igloo, it doesn't look very safe at the roof bit, but they seem happy, soaking wet, and still full of giggles, as it seems their dog (2 years old) has been 'helping'
Tesco's done
Birds fed
Wm etc changed round again
Toast for lunch eaten.

Afternoon Lamewolf
Dog went to the Beauty Parlour last week and is looking and smelling amazing! She is terrified of brushes, towels, combs and being stroked or handled too much, so a vet nurse who specialises in grooming has her for 2.5/3 hrs every three months and does everything top to toe. Karen noticed on this visit that Dog is really struggling now with all her aches and pains, so kept everything calm and worked gently and as quickly as she could at Dog's pace. Each time we book the next appointment now, we know it may not be needed.
But, having said that, Dog thinks that life is pretty amazing. She sleeps a lot, is fussy about food and often gets an alternative bowl of dinner and finishes up her leavings overnight, so I know she's eating as much as she can when she can. She's still playing with the cat, leaping about just before a walk and turns 16 this very week.Better is good enough.0 -
She's gorgeous Honey Bear, it's so nice that you've been able to give her such a loving home in her older years :j0

HB oh, bless her, what a sweetie! :happyhear
I love grooming dogs - I find it therapeutic, and always hope my guests will bring their grooming kit with them when they come to stay.:oLw why don't you try a small clean paint brush to dust with? that way to won't have to use both hands / arms to lift? just a thought for you.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
