Mumof2I hope you're feeling as smug as I am?[STRIKE]Ive still to wash the dishes[/STRIKE]Only one sink full left and half of that is taken up by DH's 2 Teapot sized tea mugs. But in addition to the usual rubbish bin,Ive filled another sack with empty containers etc
Honey BearYou made me giggle over your sofa.To make you feel better...When DS1 was in nursery (oh how I miss the time I had on my hands then;) )I befriended a mum who's little boy was slightly older than mine. After a few months of her coming to mine for tea,she asked if I would come to hers and added that I had inspired her to seek out Flylady and she was taking babysteps-but she had come to the room that was meant to be her sons nursery when he was born and she was struggling. We spent a week in that room-and when we finally came to the far corner, we discovered a gorgeous claw and ball sofa suite with a sideboard on top of it.She did not know she own either! The sofa eventually went into her bedroom, and the sideboard is now my tv stand. We have an extra room in our new house which was intended to be my cake room, but as Im not doing too much caking these days as Im discovering new hobbies, its become my playroom. I intend to eventually have it in there (and restore) but for now it keeps the tv nice and high away from curious fingers (I have a 6 year old, a 2 year old and a 1 year old)

Clean windows and sills in these areas Thank you for this one especially. In our hallway we have two smallish cupboards which Mrpolkadot picked up from work during an audit. The bottom one has two large shelves and is perfect for all our shoes, except my wellies which stand beside it. The other sits on top of it, and has 4 cubes with doors on them.
The intention when we moved them to where they are now, was for them to be the launch pad.One for DH, One for DS1, and Two for myself and the two babies to share. It has been piled high with junk and no one can find anything-the morning panic from DH has become routine as he loses his wedding ring on it every night. Now it looks all pretty and tidy, so Im going to cut out some pretty fabric to go over the top (just enough so nothing hangs over the sides) and then Im going to find some subway art to put in a frame. I've been picking up the odd one every time I go into a pound store.I think maybe something pretty about "Home"...and yes, Im going to do that today (it'll be good for tonights blog:D)0 -

The only thing that wasn't quite true was the bit about not having any medical problems ....
Me too with Pip - it wasn't mentioned that she runs off at every opportunity if there is a hint of a weakness in the hedge/fence (when we got her she patrolled around and around for ages testing for weakness), that she suffers from enteritis, is allergic to long grass, generally itchy so needs steriods AND has IBS. Still love her though! Here's a little picture of her from the other day:Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Just a gentle reminder to include some flying in the chatty posts. You can chat as much as you like but just add something related to flying, even if it's decluttered a cuppa
Skinty, LW & LL you are exempt obviously
Am decluttering a hot cuppa and a programme on the TiVoMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Oops. Sorry Natty. I have sort of finished Level 1 today; one sofa has been thoroughly vacuumed, the other one is bigger and will wait, and the chair can be done on the same day as that. And the dining room floor had a bit of a zazz. PolkaDot I have to admit I often find stuff in the attic I thought I'd got rid of 20 years ago, but I can't say I've ever found any furniture I'd forgotten I had!
Cracking photo Mumof2.Better is good enough.0 -
Whooops, sorry Natty
! A typing job which should have taken me 45 mins ended up taking over 2 hours so am really behind. Going to do a HHC now - vacuum etc and do some basics. P**d off cos I had planned to take Pip for a walk but that's not going to happen now is it .
Right, off I go ....Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
just had a phone call to say the person who wanted duvets, sheets, blankets and towels on freecycle has got someone calling round in the next 1/2 hour to collect 4 binbags full off me:T
thats a decent bit of decluttering that will help someone else. As they are all going to an animal sanctuary that needed help keeping the cats and dogs warm during this cold weather.
off to get the washing up done nowSPC~12 ot 124

Awwww, I love Pip's little red coat! What a little poppet she is! :happyhear
When Dave the Yorkie stayed last, he had a HM coat, in red and tartan, with his name embroidered on it.:D
I just got an email with some jolly old membership paperwork to do, so have to turn on the pc (usually use the netbook for everyday stuff, but that's not connected to the printer) and get it shifted.
This weekend I'm scheduled to do my Monthly PC Back-up so I think I might do that as well, get it out of the way; it's just a few days early; and imho, it counts as Flying, as it's cyber-filing.:D We do this every month, as we've had two friends lose all their info due to laptop crashes, and I aim to ensure this never happens to us.;)
I've dusted as best I can - I did resort to the soft brush on the largest Dragons, I simply cannot lift them even with both hands; but it's a lot better than it was.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Okay, so today I haven't managed anything except wiping out the cupboards and fridge, but it's definitely a start :rotfl:
Especially as wiping out the cupboards involved sorting out the food and putting things into jars, etc. I really need to get some paid stuff done now though, so will try to finish off later.0 -
drum roll please
