            Well!
School was closed yesterday so dd told me she wanted to go to the teacher today and talk to him about what happened before I jump in and phone him.
Before she had a chance he called her to speak to him and he apologised for what he said, told her she is a good student and that he wouldn't have wanted to offend her, he had worried about it over the weekend and wanted to speak to her first thing.
I asked her did she still have the C1 and she said she forgot to ask.
I am glad he said sorry, she is happy to leave it at that. He obviously either thought about it and is genuinely sorry or he is bricking it in case I make a complaint. I do hope it is the former.
Either way, it has shown (to her) that he is human to make a mistake and man enough to say sorry.£608.98

Or both.
..The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Wowbthis has restored my faith in humanity a little

I wonder if he has been 'Lurking' on this thread and has realised the vast majority support your DD?0

I'm afraid I would still be very concerned about the underlying prejudice this exposed.
People who aren't racist/sexist/classist don't tend to come out with racist/sexist/classist comments, no matter how irritated or tired or frustrated they are, it just isn't in them to come out.0 -

I'd be hoping it was the latter.. the realisation that being a prejudiced twit is not acceptable and that if he plays dirty it will bite him on the a$$ is a good thing, it may actually make him a better teacher!
Maybe it was his better half told him he was out of order and should have expected such a response and made him realise his error.. either way.. Good on DD for standing up for herself and her peers and the C1 (which I am assuming is a detention) should be forgotten.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Thank you for the update. Best outcome all round. Your daughter still has her independance, you haven't lost the rag and he has seen, admitted and apologised for the error of his ways. We are all human and all make mistakes.0
