  • Does anyone else have much success exercising at home? I would love to incorporate some dynamic stretching into my daily routing, especially on days when I dont get to the gym.

Youtube have loads of exercise videos you could try

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-VH0aTOOik

There are also plenty of stretching exercise videos

A lot of the videos are only 10mins long so easy to fit into your day. And if you can connect your laptop to your tv it could almost feel like your in a gym class :)
  • Thank you for that Southerngirl, much appreciated.
I have made some healthful food choices today, took the stairs instead of the lift, and got half hour swim in. I deigned to check the contents of the mint crumbles that I have recently become addicted to - sugar and glucose syrup. ouch, maybe just one or 2 a day then.
Off to polish my halo. will check the vids out tomorrow eve and report back.
Keep up the good work all

I hurt myself whilst out walking. Trying too hard! I had to limp home, so that's me probably going to be a couch potato for the next week. Gah!!

At least, I hope it's only a week.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
  • I'm weak, I've sinned, I confessed.... so much for being in control. I've just scoffed a Krispy Kreme. A colleague was having a birthday and I crumbled. It lasted 30 seconds and I didn't really enjoy it that much... Forgive me!

    No.

You better change your attitude and fast.

Perhaps you can accept your cave in moment as a minor blip & recognise temptation next time?

  • Good day all, Weigh day for me today, I had a minor altercation with a packet of Oreos this week. I annihilated them. This was after I had decided that I was going to reduce my carb intake to assist with weight loss. After lots of reading and friendly advice from another thread, I am a little more clued up.
I over worked a painful knee whilst exercising, so shall stick to swimming and stretching for the next few days.
Keep up the good work all

    Oh I have done!! ;)

Pleased to report a 2lb loss this week, but won't make a habit of including Krispy Kremes as part of my regular intake. Dodged a bullet methinks.

Wishing everyone a great week with no blips...
  • Well done LutonGirl, I am joining you with the 2lb loss for the week. It is motivating to see it coming off, lifestyle changes will mean that it stays off.
Keep up the good work all.

Not doing well at all as far as weight is concerned. 12st 13lbs this morning. I believe I am on a plateau at 180-183 lbs. However, I am able to do more when strength training so hope that I am putting on muscle whilst losing fat.

On the bright side, I am now in some 36" waist trousers that my wife told me I was stupid to buy when I was in 42" waist ones! And, I got them at a discount last July!
