presumably as everyone started here with posts, its not just a case of adding on the last total as shown on the yabb forum?

That would only work if we all started here with zero - there was an overlap

I think I left Yabb with just over 500 and I started here with just under 500 so if you added 500 to my postcount I would have an extra 500 when I'm only actually missing a few posts

yeah its not very straightforward and an exact science... i can only help based upon the hard data i see in the old board files. since it is a political thing and you lot turn postcounts and stars into a competition, there is no other way to handle it

if it were up to me, i'd set myself up with a paypal account and sell post count updates at 1p per post... the ultimate way to disprove that somebody belongs on a moneysaving board, eh?

sorry to persue it but as it worked correctly for those whose user names hadn't changed, surely if those whose user names email in it will be done the same (correct) way?

haha. you wish... i dont deal witth the postcount anymore, it is down to webby and andrea now i just did the tools for them to be able to adjust in batches and to keep the adjusted postcounts up...

busy enough as is, redoing site coding and changing the looks of templates etc to integrate my new headers, then i have to do some chat tips gold bits, shopping templates and so forth... good thing i am having my lunch break atm huh?
