Hi Pap! Weymouth seems like such a long time ago now, but in some days so recent. I saw some photos a couple of weeks ago and couldn't believe how young both kids looked. It was a lovely holiday. Toto was so kind, inviting us to stay with her, and she was the easiest person to share a caravan with.
How are you feeling today Taxi? It's awful, seeing people you've come to know and care about going through tough times, but you have coped brilliantly. I think if it hadn't been for people like you and KJ, I would have probably ignored the lump and kept on worrying secretly. I am seriously not looking forward to having it removed, and goodness knows how I will manage to type!! But as the doctor said it was very unlikely to be anything sinister, I am trying not to think about it too much.
Today is payday, phew!! Annoyed that I incurred a charge on my credit card for going over the limit but relieved that for a couple of weeks at least, my account should be safe from the same fate. Lovely to see you back on MSE Snags, I'm an old user on a new name but remember the "old days" on here well! It's like a little reunion on this thread0

Am fine thanks.I miss loads of the people that were here before but it's lovely to see some of the old faces back too x
Am pretty sure your lump will be fine as that's a weird place to have something sinister so please try not to worry x0 -
Two days since payday and I am already scared to look at my bank account.

Petrol has cost me a fortune this week, thanks to a round trip to Yorkshire and a couple of other fairly long drives. Other than that, I haven't done too badly. I did accidentally treat myself to a skirt that was £16 in Sainsbury's, which was really naughty
:o but bf really liked it and kept telling me I looked nice, so...partial win!
I'm going to make sure I don't buy any lunches/coffees this week while I am at work. I have plenty of Cup-a-Soups, Mug Shots etc, and the (instant) coffee at work is free, so I will make sure I drink that, and won't succumb to any of the Costa (etc) runs that happen.
No further movement with the house sale. I have received the pack to instruct my solicitor (10 days late as they sent it to the wrong address, argh! Hope my buyer is patient!!), and will post that back tomorrow. Then it will just be a case of keeping everything crossed and waiting.
I hate waiting. :rotfl:
We had a lovely afternoon in Peebles today. The kids played on the playground, we walked along the river, fed the ducks and played 'fetch' with a very friendly dog, that brought its ball and dropped it at my feet expectantly!
Back to the school runs tomorrow, just as most folk in England are beginning their half term holiday. Oh well!

I live/work far too close to the shops. I love it, but it is dreadful for keeping my retail-therapy habit at bay.

My parents came to visit for a long weekend this week, and my dad brought a couple of bottles of homebrewed wine with him. Haven't tried it yet as we aren't drinking in February (although we have had a couple of days off for special occasions ), but having tried his home-made wine before, it is definitely very drinkable, so in a round about sort of way, it will be very MSE.

Ah, it was lovely, thanks.

Today, I took my son into town to buy him some desperately-needed new clothes. He is forever outgrowing things (he's the same height and shoe size as me, and he's 12!), and I can cope with his trousers being a bit like ankle flappers, but when I can almost see his knees, it's time to give in and buy some new ones.
Because he's so tall and thin, it's hard to buy things that are long enough in the leg but tight enough around the waist. Gap do things in his size/shape but I only know that because someone once gave him some Gap jeans, not because I can ever afford to shop there! I managed to find some slim-fit jeans in H&M that were close. Too baggy on the waist, but fine with a belt. Can't remember how much they were, but not very much, thankfully. Also got him some combat-print canvas pumps for £3 in Primark, which he thinks are awesome, and a Gangnam Style (kill. me. now.) t-shirt for £4, because he's obsessed with it.
It was fun having time with him (daughter is at school today but his school was closed for a training day), although I shouldn't have been spending money.
Today has been a bit rubbish with things going wrong and my house sale teetering on the brink of falling through, so retail therapy was the ill-thought-out order of the day.
I suck at this.
