  • Where does the time go? I tend to lurk when I have the time to et on here but I might have to revise that policy now you are back!

It's good to see/hear from you again.

Does bunny still post on here?

Aww, well I hope you will pop in often!

I don't think Bunny does come on here any more, but she's on FB so I will tell her you have been asking about her. Like me, her life is rather different these days, but she seems happy, and busy! :T

  • My family seriously isn't right.

Things I have dyed pink in the wash this week: Our best double sheet, two of bf's t-shirts, a tea towel, my son's t-shirt. :-o

My daughter fell asleep on her bedroom floor this evening. She was tired and missed her bed by about 2ft.

My son got changed into his pyjamas tonight, only to discover he had left his pyjama bottoms on under his school trousers all day. I am not even going to ask what underwear implications that had. I'd rather not know!

My bf just arrived home, after texting to say he was on his way, and yet he STILL made me jump so much when he walked in that I screamed and woke the kids up.

Maybe I should just go to bed...

  • Good evening!

Why do the days pass by so slowly from Monday to Friday, and then the weekend whizzes past? Sunday night already, which means uniforms to get ready, bags to pack, lunches to make...

Did I mention we are trying not to drink in February? It's just an experiment really, but it has been interesting. As bf said today "It's been an interesting experience, but let's not repeat it again in a hurry!". :D

Anyway, he went to the pub for lunch today with the people he was rehearsing with, and had a pint without thinking about it. So to even things up a bit, I had a glass of wine with dinner.

I'm now feeling dizzy and struggling to type, hahaha! We used to come home from work and automatically have a glass of wine with dinner, but my alcohol tolerance seems to have dropped massively, so at least that habit may be broken! If not, I will probably start falling asleep in my food. :)

How is everyone this evening? I am a bit stressed about money as usual, and the kids' dad has now announced that he wants to take my son to be fitted for a suit for his wedding (my ex's, not my son's, obviously), so I have to find the money for another trip to Yorkshire in a few weeks, sighhh. Fingers crossed my house sale goes through, and quickly.

I totally agree, but the problem is that he won't, and the kids are already starting to notice how little he is bothering with them, which upsets them, and then we suffer, so unfortunately at the moment, we are just having to grin and bear it.

I'm taking them down again in June, so they can attend his wedding (to which, of course, I am not invited), and bf can't even come, so I'll either have to sleep on the floor in my empty house, or if it's sold by then, stay in a hotel on my own. Not exactly appealing prospects, but as he will then have gone a whole year without coming up to see them once, I will feel justified in reducing the frequency with which I take them down there.

Grr, exes. Are they ever anything but a nuisance? I've never been able to stay friends with an ex. Civil maybe, but not actually friends. How DO people do it??

I find it very sad that he expects you to drop the kids off and everything is on his terms..you are more tolerant than me as he wouldn't be seeing his kids if he was my ex.

If it only affected me, and the kids wouldn't be bothered by it, I'd tell him to bog off. :rotfl:

They blame me if they don't see him though. One guess who tells them it's my fault....
