Snagggles please e-mail details to social@scottishpower.com there is no need for us to keep the Direct Debit at the same level as when you were living there, If the heating is only on periodically and there is no electric of any great amount being used, we should reduce the DD.
Thanks

Thanks David. No criticism was implied by the way, except for criticism of my own inability to deal with things!

Not much to report today. I forgot my lunch, but managed to salvage my NSD with a Cup-a-Soup and some mints that I'd left in one of my drawers!
I popped into the bank and paid my refund cheque in on my way to work this morning. Using the paying-in machine was quite exciting. I don't get out much. :rotfl:I'm a Money and Debt Adviser for a homelessness and housing charity in Scotland. Happy weekend! :T :T
My month of self-imposed sobriety has come to an end, which means I am free to have a nice glass of wine this evening. Strangely, I don't really fancy one. I think I am broken!! :rotfl:
I did the shopping today and managed to spend £94, eek. I did buy enough food for about 3 weeks though, so perhaps it's not so bad really. Morrisons were selling off their jars of antipasti for £1, which was kind of exciting but it said 'reduced to clear', and I only really shop in Morrisons for those, so...sad face.
Their antipasti are great - jars of sundried tomatoes, chargrilled artichokes, chargrilled aubergine, etc. They are usually 2 for £2.50 or something. I don't eat much meat, so these are brilliant for adding to pasta sauces, couscous, pizzas etc. Not the very cheapest thing, but quick and convenient, and they taste much nicer than the expensive Waitrose equivalents.
In other news, I volunteered to proofread internet content for a charity close to my heart, and have been accepted, woo! I do this for an epilepsy charity that my sister is a trustee of too. It's something I'm not too bad at, doesn't take up much time and doesn't cost me anything. I love it. :T
This morning I also managed to volunteer to accompany a class of five year olds on a sponsored walk. Phew, that was harder than I expected, but lots of fun too, and one little boy, who had been...somewhat challenging...came up to me at the end and said "You're funny; I like you".
Awww.
I was a bit alarmed to hear he hadn't had any breakfast before school. I wanted to take him home for a good meal but a) that's probably not allowed, and b) I can't cook.

Phew, what a party-filled weekend. Unfortunately, it was only my 5 year old that was attending the parties, but...er...it was fun taxiing her around.
I managed to get nice presents in Home Bargains. They often have Crayola art kits of various kinds, and they are fab gifts for kids of that age. Along with some One Direction stickers (apparently they are THE group at the moment, if you're a 5 year old girl!) and some Mini Eggs, wrapped up in tissue paper (£1 for a pack of multi-coloured sheets from a pound shop) and popped in a gift bag (from our drawer of 'recycled' gift-wrapping stuff), they looked like much more exciting presents than they actually were. :rotfl:
Our alcohol-free month has now ended but I'm weirdly not bothered for a drink. I expected to be gasping for a glass of wine!
It will save some money anyway, although I doubt it will last! I'm a Money and Debt Adviser for a homelessness and housing charity in Scotland. Aww, it was nice, thank you. I can't believe it's almost Monday, but I'm not working (my job is part time, Tue/Wed/Thur), so have arranged to meet lovely bf at his office, so we can go for a walk in his lunch break. He has an hour, and his office is set close to lovely woodland, so that sounds like a nice, cheap bit of exercise.
I have had to temporarily give up running and aqua aerobics due to a knee injury (you'd think the aqua aerobics would be ok, but weirdly it's the thing that exacerbates it the most), so I'm planning to start walking more.I'm a Money and Debt Adviser for a homelessness and housing charity in Scotland.
