Morning! Happy bank holiday to all.

I haven't been updating much of late. I got fed up with hearing myself complaining! There hasn't been any news anyway. Still waiting for the house to sell, although things are looking vaguely promising now. Still skint.

I love my job but I don't have enough clients. I suspect funding will be withdrawn if it doesn't pick up soon. There's only a small amount I can do to influence it, and I'm already doing everything I can, so I am just trying not to worry, and hoping for the best. I know there's a need for the service, but it's reaching the right people that is tricky. Haha, see, complaining again!

After a couple of days of glorious weather, it is cold and extremely windy here today. My coldframe has already blown over! Thankfully everything has been planted out now, so it was almost empty, but the plant pot my son painted at school for Mother's Day a few years ago got broken. Bah!

Maybe I could get him to make me another one...if I want it done in the style of Minecraft or Halo that is! :rotfl:

Day off with the man today. :T The kids are at school so we have a few hours of much-needed relaxation. We are so busy at the moment that we're both frazzled and under the weather. Might just sit around drinking tea all day. :D

Difficult situation regarding the clients Snags, do they advertise in a local free press at all? Getting people to know services is always hard, especially on what can be such a sensitive subject.

I find it hard to believe numbers won't pick up soon. Pick up as in a logarithmic curve, that sort of pick up.

    Hellooo!

I have been dreadful at updating this of late. :o

    I sold my house! :j :j :T :T

It is such a relief, and I'm now officially out of debt.

    For now.

    NO! Permanently.

    Maybe. :o :rotfl:

Job-wise, things aren't looking great, as it's far too quiet, and the planned promotional stuff has been pulled, pending a bigger campaign later in the year. I worry that it may be too late to save my funding though, but I'm trying to be positive.

I'm lucky to be in a position where if I lost my job, I'd be able to manage for a few months until I found another one, but I love my job and the people I work with, so I would be pretty gutted.

Hah, you'd think I would be able to stop moaning and being glum for a bit now, wouldn't you? I think I'm in a bit of a slump, brought on by selling my house, and my ex husband getting married again, all in the same week.

I took the kids down to Yorkshire for the wedding, so I had to meet up with him the evening before it. It was odd. I ended up crying at the train station because I was overwhelmed with loneliness. I didn't miss him, or being married to him, I just needed a hug, and I was 200 miles from home and on my own.

I saw a few photos afterwards on FB, and the kids looked gorgeous. The whole wedding looked nice actually. Cue more crying from me, because when we got married, I wasn't worth that much effort.

    Sighh...self-pitying emo rubbish. :o

Aaanyway, I have paid off a big chunk of our mortgage here in Edinburgh, paid off my credit card and overdraft, put money aside for HMRC when they write to me saying I was overpaid tax credits last year, replaced my knackered work handbag and that's pretty much it!

I still need to pay for passports, as we haven't had those for years (couldn't afford the passports, never mind a holiday!), although we have no plans to go away.

For the first time ever, I don't owe anyone any money, and I even have a bit of money in a savings account (one I can't get at easily, for obvious reasons :rotfl: ).

That's pretty much the end of this chapter, so I might not post on this diary now, but I will still be around. Think I need MSE rehab or something, to make sure I don't slip back into debt!

Lots of love to you all. xxx

snaggs delighted youve sold the house that must be a weight off your mind ... loneliness can be so hard as well ... at least now though you have a decent man better than the one you had :)

hope the job is safe especially as you are happy there, there are so many people that work in jobs they hate so to enjoy your job is a big bonus ... fingers crossed the funding comes though ...

chin up chuck ... life is on the change for the better again for you ... things are gonna be good :)
