Eek, 2 days until payday and I am close to my overdraft limit in both of my accounts. I get paid on Wednesday but am due to pay £60 childcare on Tuesday. I frequently forget to go to the cash machine though and end up paying them on Wednesday instead, so I don't think there will be any problem paying them a day late. As long as no other forgotten bills go through in the next couple of days, I *should* just about manage not to go over my limit and get a load of charges. :o

I have an Ebay parcel to post today but I have a bit of cash in my purse that will be enough for that. I will make sure I don't go anywhere else where I can spend anything. The housework is mostly up-to-date though (because I cleaned obsessively at the weekend), which only leaves me with the ironing for entertainment. :rotfl:

I hope this isn't why you're awake at 5am Snagggles.

You have my sympathy. I have £60 till I hit my limit and I think £61 may be coming out. Was going to the bank but they shut at 4.30pm and I think I got there at 4.31pm! Have moved £10 from savings and now praying!

Working finances out tonight and having a look at Virgin to see how much balance I can transfer...oh and checking what I need to get for nettle soup other than the standard ingrediant.

    Like you I have a very exciting evening planned of;
    • planning my finances
    • ironing
    • practicing British Sign Language
    • cooking kedgeree which I believe is the only thing I have ingrediants for other than beans and pot noodle!
    Right. Quite hungry, better go!

    Nettle soup sounds interesting!

If times get really hard, the woods behind my house are full of them. Does this mean we won't starve?? :D

Nothing from the estate agents today. I wasn't expecting to hear from them, and no news is good news, right? Right?? :)

NSD apart from some cereal bars for the kids' school lunches today. I did spend rather a lot of money on train fares for June, as I need to go to York and back twice in one weekend (long story!), but thankfully it won't be coming out of my budget. It means I will get to see my boyfriend in a Shakespeare production he has co-written the music for, so that's exciting!

I got an expenses cheque today for £21, which I will pay in this week. It's not much, but every little helps! Especially when I need to pay £42 for travel to TWO courses in Glasgow next week.

A simple life would get a bit dull, I suppose! :rotfl:

    Ah yes, 5am. Ahem.

It was partly because I was worrying about money, and partly because I was fretting about some complicated train journeys I needed to book. My brain kept going over and over my plans, looking for mistakes, and panicking that I'd get them wrong.

Of course, waking up at silly o'clock and stressing is a *great* way to ensure my organisational skills and clarity of thought are at their peak...sigh. :o My brain annoys me sometimes!

Phew, payday. I have done the shopping and paid for this week's childcare.

No news on the house sale. I think the buyer will have the results of the survey by now, so it's a bit of a tense time, waiting to see if they are still happy to go ahead (the last survey was fine, but you never know).

The stress of it all is beginning to get to me. I'm having horrible panic attacks where I hyperventilate and think I'm going to die, and I must be driving the whole family crazy with ridiculous mood swings and irrational bouts of crying. :o

I'm having the weirdest dreams too! They're so vivid that I sometimes confuse them with reality, which is a bit scary. If things don't settle down in a few days, I'm going to go back to the doctor and discuss increasing my antidepressants until I feel back in control again. It's annoying though, when I am actually trying to get off them altogether!

Hmm, it seems I now have £150 to last until the end of the month. My mortgage payment is...about £150 (I'm only paying the interest until it sells). Methinks there will be significant overdraft and credit card usage this month then!

I have some Paypal money to transfer over, and an expenses cheque to pay in, so in total there will be another £100 approximately.

For ages I have meant to close down a couple of accounts I had years ago that still have small balances in them. I reckon if I do that, I'll have an additional £27. Every little helps! :)

Argh, as usual, scrap that vaguely-plausible plan. The council are demanding £178 from me immediately (2 months' council tax for Leeds house). Thought my council tax bill was late arriving. Wonder where that went then?! Probably the house on the next road, with an almost-identical address to ours, which is where most of our post goes.

Oh well! The relative sanity was nice while it lasted!

I had an answerphone message from the estate agent saying that the final search has come back and is awaiting checking over by the buyer's conveyancer. I presume this is a good thing! :o I REALLY need this sale to go through!!!

    Thanks. :)

It makes me giggle a bit when they talk about doing a search. I could just show them where it is, to save them the trouble... :)
