Bah to selling houses0

People are really random...
The sister of a neighbour really liked my house but it was too far for the kids to walk to school. It's probably about 3/4 of a mile. The neighbour who was telling me this little story clearly couldn't believe it.Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

She'll be 6, Sparkles - any ideas welcome! She likes the usual suspects: Hello Kitty, Peppa Pig, Disney Princesses (so much for my attempts to bring her up with 'unisex' toys! :rotfl:).
I was going to buy her a bike, but...finances
and anyway she has been riding her brother's old bike and loves it, so I don't think there's any point buying her one until she outgrows that one.
It has just started raining, which would normally be
but my new plants will appreciate it!
My friend's girl who is 7 loves the Disney soft dolls, what about one of those? Or they all seem to be getting into Moshi Monsters, I don't know if N has seen them!
How about some girly accessories for the bike? So it feels more hers.0 -
Ooh, I'll have a look at the soft dolls, thanks. She loves dolls and princesses and all that stuff. She has a talking Moshi Monster thing - whoever gave her that has a seriously warped sense of humour! It drives me insaaaane. :rotfl:I'm a Money and Debt Adviser for a homelessness and housing charity in Scotland. This site is a good influence on me.

I have 4 items listed on Ebay, I have done a PC survey and I bought 2 more presents for N's birthday - some cute, flowery flipflops and a hula hoop. Total cost = £5, so providing even one of my Ebay items sells, I have earned more than I have spent. :TI'm a Money and Debt Adviser for a homelessness and housing charity in Scotland. Just a quickie (that's what *she* said) as I have been run off my feet this week, but I had to update my diary with possibly-exciting news.
I've accepted an offer on my house. :T It's for £2k more than the previous offer (which fell through because the chain broke higher up), and it's a cash buyer with no property to sell.
I really really hope it goes through. I will end up a nervous wreck if I keep getting offers that come to nothing.
I do look forward to temporarily having money in my account! It will all disappear a few days later of course, but it will look nice briefly! :rotfl:
And I won't have a mortgage and bills to pay for a place I haven't lived in for months. That would be so lovely.
Oh, quick apology too - for some reason I haven't been getting notified of PMs, and I have three, one dating back a couple of months.
If you have messaged me, I'm really sorry. I wasn't ignoring you. Not sure yet, but a quick purchase with a mortgage would be about 4 weeks, and the buyer doesn't need a mortgage, so I am really hoping they will want to complete quickly. There's still the survey to do, which I am nervous about because they could haggle over the price, but the last survey came back fine, so I am just trying to stay positive.
There's a crack in the ceiling of the walk-in wardrobe (which sounds grand but it's just a big alcove we put a door across!), but it's cosmetic not structural. I'd intended to fill it next time I went down, but it seems a bit disingenuous to try to hide it now. It could just make it look as if I'm trying to disguise a serious problem.I'm a Money and Debt Adviser for a homelessness and housing charity in Scotland. fingers crossed that it all goes through0
