Hmm, Ebay items finish tomorrow and only one has a bid, and it's only for £5. Better than nothing though, I suppose!
Annoyingly, I listed something for my bf, and that has a £10 bid and 17 watchers. Reckon I should get a 50% cut, at least. :rotfl:
I have had a nasty bout of tonsilitis for the last couple of days, which has meant my weekend was spectacularly unproductive, but at least it kept me away from the shops.
Hoping it will have improved enough for me to go to work on Tuesday. The painkillers are lasting for about 4 hours now, before I start to hurt again, so I should be able to manage!I'm a Money and Debt Adviser for a homelessness and housing charity in Scotland. Woohoo, my Ebay items have finished and made a grand total of £27. That's before bf's item, which doesn't finish for a couple of days.
I need to work out how to get them to the post office now. I think if I wrap them this evening, then get off the bus a few stops early, I can go to the post office in town, then walk to the office, which is only a few minutes away (past the shops on Princes Street, which will be open by that time of morning...but I won't go in, I promise!! :rotfl: ).
I have only had one cocodamol tablet today, and the pain is mostly totally bearable. I did sleep all afternoon though, oops.
I have bought N's birthday present, which cost £45, but I feel less worried knowing that half of that is covered by Ebay sales. I will be even less worried if the house sells, but I am pretending all that stuff isn't happening!
Hope everyone is well and having a good day today! I have a few bedding plants to put into troughs to brighten up our rather flower-bed-free garden, but I'm still very achy and tired, plus it is really windy!I'm a Money and Debt Adviser for a homelessness and housing charity in Scotland. Is it still sold and just waiting for things to go through or.........
I haven't actually heard from the estate agent since I accepted the offer, but as far as I know, it's still going through. I wish I knew if a survey has been done yet, as that seems like the most likely point at which it could fall apart, being as there's no chain, but I have no idea!
I probably should be ringing to ask them, but I hate the whole process and avoid speaking to them as much as possible. They tend to just ignore me if I email them!
Que sera sera...or something.

best to be brave and just phone them and at least you'll know what's happening rather than having to worry about it x hopefully it's all still going through0

Snagggles _party_ I finally found you!
What a roller coaster you are living, twun ts for a ex.... be thankful he will be someone elses problem after the wedding :rotfl:
I hope you hear about your house sale soon, waiting is exhausting!
I used to live in York, your weekend away sounds lovely and if I'm honest made me feel alittle homesick, I will have to juggle my budget to fit in a trip home real soon!
Hope boy Snagggles is doing better at school and that CAMHs are helping.

Well I wasn't quite brave enough to phone them, but I did email, and got an 'out of office' reply because my estate agent is on holiday this week. So I'm none the wiser for now!
I've shuffled accounts around in an attempt to be more organised, so I am REALLY hoping I can stay in control until my house actually does sell (well, and afterwards too, although I won't be quite so skint then).
Hi Mary! CAMHS were great when we saw them, but there's always such a long wait when they refer you on to someone. Son managed to get into a fight at school today because he took exception to someone using 'gay' as an insult. Difficult to be too cross as I agree with his sentiments, but not with his response. We could do with him seeing someone who can help him manage his anger fairly soon really!I'm a Money and Debt Adviser for a homelessness and housing charity in Scotland.
