Well we are supposed to reach 18 degrees somehow next week according to metcheck but I'll believe that when I see it
I nipped out for some pots earlier and Woodcote was manic!
They have expanded the fruit bit tho so lots of choice there although not cheap.
Cat jumped on my calendula seedlings when I got back, howling for food so not happy with him anyone would think we starve him the way he carries on!0 -
Busy day here
we have built a new netted cage on the allotment im hoping this one doesn't go the same way as the last one and have me and my 4 yr old have planted some more seeds in the kitchen it's a waiting game now to see if they germinate

I've got plenty of seedlings on the windowsill that are looking ok, but there's no chance of me doing anything outside yet. Looks like it's staying cold for a while.
Yup. Still a fair bit of snow/ice lying about here.
Yet another week postponement here. On a mse front, I still haven't ordered the replacement greenhouse covers! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

3/3/13:mrbadexample wrote: »Also added a few snowdrops that I bought last week. Yes, you heard right, I planted flowers!
I gave in ages ago.I wish I hadn't bought them though. I paid a fiver for two little clumps, and me dad gave me masses for nowt.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Morning
It's a beautiful day here again still a bit on the cold side but sunny!!
Hope all those frozen in are starting to thaw a little.
MrB my OH is the flower person funnily enough he loves his pretties,me..if it ain't edible it isn't worth the space in our titchy garden so its always a matter of compromise here.
*I do however always win*
Might venture outside even today..0 -

You deliberately hid that info among lots of other stuff so I missed it
And as you do flowers now what about some borage? bees love it, lovely herb and the flowers can be used in drinks
I've got frog spawn at last but the top bit keeps getting frozen as the ponds frozen over ever night, underneath should be OK.
Ventured out there yesterday, still too cold for me to do anything. Don't do cold gardening, but I did lay some plastic over the soil to keep it dry and warm it for tatties and parsnips next week.
Anything warmer than this is going to feel like a heatwave at present and will mean I can paint and plant my pallets :j
I have a bit of fence that gets sun from first thing 'till lunchtime but it's next doors fence and their parents (who own the flat) have asked that we don't attach anything to it as it was new last year.
Didn't mention don't lean anything against the fence postshould be fine as part of it will be buried for stability but if it's not then hubby said he'll replace it.

.
Ordinarily I'm of the same opinion, but thought a few snowdrops round the base of my herbs & buddleja wouldn't hurt.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
My fruits I ordered in DTBrowns half price sale have just arrived they are brilliant!!
Can't believe OH paid more than double the price for his nectarine 1/4 of the size of this one.
I'm trying to find a tub big enough..
I ordered apricot dawnglow, nectarella and another lord derby cooker (plus a free charles ross) very, very pleased0 -
