Tomatoes in the greenhouse and maybe some outside,

I'd definitely grow some outside - they should be fine in sunny Devon! Last year was rubbish, but in previous years I've had better results from the outside plants than the ones in the greenhouse. ;)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Sunny Devon??? blooming cold, overcast and very windy, not much difference from last summer!!
I did grow some in the garden last year, they didn't do very well though, but saying that it was a bad year for everyone, nothing really done well last year for me, my garden hadn't really had anything done to it for 10 yrs or so when we moved in. We have had to strip 10 years of bushes, shrubs etc plus plenty of ivy and bindweed.
We are doing quite well now have a pretty garden with a veg patch and fruit area.
Treat other's how you like to be treated.

    UPDATE,
As of today 180919. my granddaughter is now my official granddaughter, adoption finally granted

No. :( And I am a bit worried that I've dug the pond in a poor spot. It's in shade most of the day from the fence and the shed, so the frogs might not think it a suitable location. Time will tell, I guess.

Frogs are fickle things I've decided. In spite of having lots of frog 'activity' ;) I've no spawn this year :( My son's pond has 6' plus square solid patch of the stuff and his is in a north facing garden so don't think lack of sun is the issue.
First year since the pond went in, must be 18 years now, I've not had any:(

I'm going to pinch some of his when he's not looking:D

Still got bits of snow in the garden but my tatties in pots are fine :) I had hoped to spread out the planting of my 16 varieties but it looks like they'll all have to squeeze in as soon as the weather warms up. I will be planting a little closer than usual in the ground this year as they'll still be there when I want it for other crops.

Anyone else's toms growing slowly this year or is it just mine?

I think I may bite the bullet and actually make a point of starting some seedlings off tomorrow as suggested by Annie123. Itching to get in the garden and get started - keep thinking Ill set my cloche up but dont want it to blow away.
My greenhouse got destroyed by a particularly nasty bout of gale force winds we had, next door neighbours trampoline got blown over the fence and crushed it and all the inhabitants. :(

Which on that note - lovely to 'see' you again too Annie. We are ok, Holly May sadly is under the weather - the norovirus has gotten her again - it got her just before Christmas too so I have a poorly princess at the minute - and can you believe that very fat pregnancy bump will be 3 years old this July! where did that time go?

No snow here but it was -2 when I came home from work last night.....not sure planting anything outside at the minute would have much chance.
    Time to find me again

Then I hope next-door neighbours are forking out for a new one?

Me too  lucky I have only got a driveway behind my greenhouse so unless cars go flying I should be safe.

Seeds starting to sprout in the greenhouse and the ones indoors getting there. Got the £1.99 seed pack from Martin email some interesting salad stuff in it.

Just seen a few flakes of snow not had any so far this month. Also got my new red Fiat 500 but that's not really gardening related is it.

Yes it is, you'll be using it to lug heavy bags of compost I'm sure ;)

Forecasts still predicting another 2 weeks of cold weather.

    What to do????
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Blimey I've already missed 18 pages how did that happen?

Glad to see the thread is open for business again this year MrBE :D

We have got off very lightly with the weather so far, only the odd bit of snow and it hasn't stayed for long but everything is still frozen solid regardless..tried raking the soil and it peeled away in a clump :rotfl:

Sooo we have overloaded windowsills as per usual but I'm trying a few new to me varieties this year so might need to coddle a few things a bit anyway.

I got some micro toms to try and bloody butcher, cream sausage and mortgage lifter heritage toms as well as lemon crystal cukes.

Has the bog garden been ok with all this dire weather MrB?
