(my garden is still under snow, btw)
I'm not shunning you. I keep getting told off for giving you so much attention. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
in other news, how is your aubergine? I'm on the verge of pinching the growing tip of mine....0

As for the wild garlic I understand it it is OK to take seed from the wild but not dig up plants. You can also pick leaves, berries or flowers growing wild but leave the plant in situ. Not sure what the law is about escapees from gardens though - I have heard that rhodadendrons (sp?) have taken over in some places and upset the balance of nature - even the bird life has been affected apparently.0

Mine only have one real leaf very tiny but ... I didn't know about doing this. Could you explain why and when. Thanks0 -

I didn't know this. I don't actually know where it came from either, but from what I can gather there's plenty of it there, so hopefully it won't be missed. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

You pinch out the growing tip of a plant to stop it growing upwards. It responds by growing outwards to establish a new growth point, so makes it bush out. It's used to keep a plant in check. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
