I don't see why you can't grow all of those, with the possible exception of sweetcorn which needs to be grown in blocks as it's wind-pollinated I think. I'm not sure how much space you'd need. I was thinking of giving it a go myself this year.

Peas I think you can get started now. Tomatoes want to be sown soonish, and you can start some seed potatoes chitting. Parsnips and carrots can be sown as soon as it warms up a bit I think.

Annie'll be along in a minute to tell me if I've got it all wrong. :p

Actually you've done quite well :T
With 2 cobs per plant I don't bother (done it once just to try) and I'm not a fan of sweetcorn, but they they can be grown close together so don't have to take a lot of space and kids seem to like growing them.
Could get some early carrots in if soil is dry and suitable, or in pots.

The rules should be to grow an aubergine. Annie & John can tell us which one wins. I don't think we should ask how we'll be judged; that would spoil the fun. :D

You'll be judged via the photos provided:p :D As long as we don't have to give prizes John ;)

Today has been dark and damp all day and with snow due didn't seem much point in doing anything outside, so I've been sowing in the living room :D
    Leeks......lyon this year
Cucumber......yes I know it's early as they are going outside, but you never know April and May might be nice and warm
    Courgettes......same as above
Borage.....got trampled by cats last year so going to try and transplant it
poached egg plants........to go to mums garden too
Cosmos.........still trying to get them past the snails so going to grow in modules and plant out

Did pop out to feed the birds and checked my comfrey again as it hasn't died off, in fact it's got little flowers :D

I bought some seed and cutting compost from wilkinsons last month and a snotty email will be going off to them.
I'm having to sieve it and started doing that after a small scratch on my hand from a piece of broken terracotta pot, not to mention the twigs, and stones. Only got it as it was too cold and wet to bring in my own bagged home made stuff.

Best clear up the living room before I start dinner :o

We've been down the plot today, my rotivator is fixed :) picking it up tomorrow we generally had a good tidy up as it was too wet to dig :( got loads done though and we planted some seeds. Mini sweetcorn normal sweetcorn peas, green beans, mange tout, runner beans, leeks, red and white spring onions mini cauliflower and broadbeans repotted my kiwi into a bigger pot going to have to complain to mr fothergill too as my cauliflower seed pack said avg of 500 seeds well I'll be lucky if there were 50!
Not sure we will have any time to do anything other than collect the rotivator as its Mother's Day and I think I'm feeding the 5000 everyone is coming for dinner

You seem like people that know a good aubergine when you see one. :D
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
