Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Virgin Atlantic ONLY

Hi,
Can anyone advise me where I can find the Virgin Atlantic Flight details, as I don't have my flight number etc to make a claim for a flight delay/cancellation to Orlando Florida back in September 2008?
If anyone was, or knows someone that was on this flight from Gatwick. Please let me know.
Regards,

Also worth checking the date in September, you have 6 years from the date of the flight to start court action so if you are past or close to that date the flight details are probably irrelevant as you will still need to issue a NBA to Virgin0

I flew back from Beijing on Friday.
I was booked with Air France, to fly to Paris and then on to Manchester. Due to arrive at 18.50.
Pilots on strike, so re-arranged to fly via BA to London Heathrow, then via Virgin Atlantic to Manchester. Due in at 18.05.
The second leg was delayed by over an hour, and I was denied boarding as there had been a cancelled Virgin flight earlier in the day.
They then put me on the 20.45 to Manchester, which was also delayed and I landed in Manchester at around 22.40. And my bag when missing!
Will I be eligible for compensation for the delays in the second leg under EU rule 261/2004?
Any help appreciated, as I can't work it out.0 -
The second leg was delayed by over an hour, and I was denied boarding as there had been a cancelled Virgin flight earlier in the day.
At what stage were you denied boarding?
If you had a confirmed ticket and boarding at the gate on time then you should have a claim
What did Virgin say about your ticket? If it had not been issued correctly by Air France (eg was not confirmed) then I would make a complaint to AF0 -
watchman2 - we need some more details.
1. Did airfrance re route you via BA/Virgin or did you make your own arrangments?
2. Did you have a valid ticket for the Virgin flight London to Manchester and did you arrive at boarding gate on time?If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Air France arranged the flight with BA and then Virgin.
I got an electronic ticket via email, but no boarding pass for the Virgin leg from London to Manchester. Virgin had cancelled a flight earlier, so this flight was completely full.
So they denied boarding.
I talked to a Virgin employee and they booked me on a later Virgin flight, and gave me a meal token.
I was on time at the gate.0 -
So you were denied boarding by Virgin. Your claim is EURO250 against Virgin, London to Manchester leg.
Denied boarding is much more difficult for the compaany to wriggle out of as you were "bumped".
I don't think you have any claim against AF, since they rerouted you and it looks as though the rerouting , if it had gone to plan, would have got you back earlier than your original flight? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I have a question that I hope someone can answer regarding Virgin Atlantic delay compensation.
Briefly we claimed for a 9 hour delay on flight VS75 from Manchester to Orlando in September 2008. The claim was rejected due to a technical fault but we asked again after the recent court ruling.
VA responded saying they were considering their position and it could take 2 months. They then wrote saying it could be 12 months due to appeals etc but they would let us know.
Today I received a letter saying that unless I had started court proceedings before 20.9.2014 my claim was now out of time as 6 years had passed.
What else could I do as I was in their hands awaiting their decision and now they say I no longer have a claim. Are they correct or is there still something I can do? Thanks0 -

They are correct - they have strung you along so you are now out of time - nothing you can now do - you should have instigated court action before the 6 year threshold.0 -
Agreed, your court case may well have been held up because of the appeals but it would have been "in the system" before the deadline
- You never know, the appeal may go in the airlines favour so there may be no compensation due even if you did get it into the system
Unfortunately nothing you can do now0
