I've looked back and nobody seems to have received the letter I just did (on the 19th) which basically just fobs the whole situation off as further appeals are still being considered.
Did everyone get this? What's the correct response?
Thanks,
A little more detail required however assume your letter refers to the Huzar -v- Jet2 Supreme Court (possible) appeal in which case read the Huzar thread and earlier postings in this thread. The Huzar thread will explain the background and current stays and this thread will confirm that in some cases (a large group) Virgin indicated they would settle even though the outcome of the appeal was awaited.0 -

Thanks for the quick reply!
I'm having trouble remembering exactly, but it can't have been much longer than an hour/ hour and a half.
I did say that we arrived at West Palm Beach at midnight, but thinking about it, it was probably more like 8/9PM, as we had to disembark there and go through immigration, which took around 3 hours, as the airport was incredibly understaffed (because it's not a commercial airpot of course). Then we had to wait for the new crew to get there from Miami.
My timeline is a little fuzzy, since I was awake so long and couldn't find myself able to sleep on the plane, but that's more or less accurate.
I agree with you that it would have been quicker to be put onto a bus to Orlando, and at the time, I was confused as to why they would bus crew from Miami instead of doing that.0 -

Search CAA and you'll find you are, at best, wasting your time - and at worst giving the airline ammunition to resist your claim.
If yours is a case that isn't straightforward, speak to a no win no fee firm to gauge their view.0 -
Well it took more than 18 months but in the end Virgin Atlantic have relented and paid the full 600 euros per paying passenger we have been fighting for and were entitled to I might add. My advice to any potential claimant is don't give up, it will be worth it in the end.0

I received essentially the same correspondence today, and like you feel fobbed off after a five hour delay that robbed us of a day of our holiday. Was wondering whether I could take any further action?0 -
Wow. Really, that's the next move?
Err, take them to court!
