Was thinking about previous flights last night and remembered sitting in the UC lounge at Gatwick for ages after all the morning flights had gone one year.
Just dug my expired passport out and we flew on 11th May 2010.
Was flying on VS43 to Las Vegas and we departed 5h 53m late and arrived in Vegas just over 6h 30m late.

Well after asking this question without reading the thread (which I have now) I was pleased to find my return flight was also delayed by over 4 hours so ive some letters to write ;)

Glad that people have reported success using the guide.

Hi Kim your story sounds exactly the same as mine except my flight was from Gatwick to Vegas on 27 August 2012 (VS043). They ignored my correspondence but paid in full when I sued them.

    Thanks caveman

I have had a look through this thread an found someone who had won for this flight.

I will send them 1 further letter stating that i know people have been paid from this flight, so to save expense pay up now or we can go to court.

Will see what they come back with

They probably won't pay until you sue them. I threatened them with court action several times but they only paid up when I commenced proceedings.

    HI

We were aboard the virgin man-mco morning flight all excited ready to set off to the world when the pilot announced a delay for unknown hours?

this was due to a problem with a part in the fuel tank therefore not being able to put fuel in the plane?

anyway a part was flown up from london and eventually we were on our way.

However we were due to fly at 11.15 and actually flew at 15.44 landing local time at mco 20.04

Does anyone know if i am due compensation due to this, i have filled in the form but am i likely to be rejected?

    Many thanks

    Stacey

Arrival delay is what counts. What was the scheduled arrival time?

Sounds then like a valid claim to me - 600 euros per passenger.

    Yes

Almost certainly. The chances of them paying up without a fight are very small.
