You must hold them to it. This is not a claim under the regulations but under a collateral contract. Send an NBA and if they don't pay, sue them

My claim against EJ was sent by email on 5th July. I gave them 14 days to pay. I informed that if no payment I would send an NBA giving them another 14 days otherwise MCOL claim going in.

I think the airlines are waging a war on MSE regulars, what with me still sorta dealing with one of my Paris delays with J2, Tyzap with his Ryanair delay and you with EJ.

All the best of luck with your claim - I recon they have about another two weeks left before you issue then?

NBA going off today. They did actually send me an email 2 days ago asking for the receipt for the additional car hire expense.
I do wonder who they employ to deal with these claims as my original email on 5th July did clearly explain that there was no receipt for the additional expense in car hire since I had to cancel the original one and rehire completely anew, both directly through easyJet. The amount being claimed the difference between the 2, to get me to my original destination.

    Hi

After reading articles on MSE website I decided to try an EC261 compensation claim. I received an email yesterday saying I'm eligible for compensation as the flight was cancelled due to the aircraft having a crew issue and the cancellation was within their control and considered a non-extraordinary circumstance under EU law. So am being compensated £711.28. Am happy with that and would like to thank MSE and people on the forum for the advice and easy to use templates :0)

It says 28 days on their website so I would wait until that is passed before chasing

To make a claim for EC261 compensation please complete our online EC261 compensation form. One of our team of specialists will come back to you within approximately 28 days to confirm whether or not you are eligible for compensation.
    .

Still waiting on this. I got an email back saying it had been sent to the Operations Team and it could take up to 14 days for a response. That was 21 days ago. They appear to have updated the above section too as it now says 45 days.

One of our team of specialists will come back to you within approximately 45 days to confirm whether or not you are eligible for compensation.

    Bloody ridiculous amount of time.

Chris, they will take as long as you give them. You don't have to work to their timescale. If you haven't already done so, download and read Vauban's excellent guide and then send them an NBA

Chrisabian, you dictate the timeline, within reason. If you don't push they will

    a) Play letter tennis with you.
    b) put your claim to the bottom of the pile.
    c) fob you off with excuses and misinformation.

I have a claim against easyJet when they cancelled my flight for the 30th June on the 29th June. My claim went in on the 29th June. They state a response within 45 days, which is absurd.
I have given them 21 days in total, which expired today. NBA going this evening.

My claim went in on 12th June, got a response on 28th June saying it had been sent to the Operations Team and it could take up to 14 days for a response, which was now 21 days ago. I have all screenshots from the Easyjet app stating the delay was their fault (plane late in overnight/late for maintenance checks). I'm due back 400euros each. Looks like I will be following suit, JPears!

I'll download the guide and read what I have to do. Is the default NBA template on the guide fine to use? With my own details in obviously.

Absolutely. Presumably you have a case reference and ID numbers from EJ?
