Final post from me on the EJ expense claim debacle going on since October.

The 2 CEDR claims both in my favour but compensation dismissed and on one claim they used the euro rate as of the date of the adjudication rather than what EJ paid out, thereby reducing my claim by another fiver.

Honestly, I would not use CEDR again if you paid me too. Shambolic, inconsistent and timewasters.

it took 6 weeks for my claim to be settled via MCOL and no chase ups / frustration. It has taken 8 weeks to get this far with CEDR and I still have to wait another 20 odd days to get paid.

So - I would strongly advise not to use CEDR for claims.
Pay the small court fee and use MCOL.

    Hi
We were flying from Izmir in Turkey to Gatwick on the 26th of May our plane was 4 hours 15 mins late departing. this was due to a technical fault with the first plane they managed to get a replacement plane after 1.5 hours but then due to others issues ended up being over 4 hours late. now as the initial problem was technical and that then had the knock on affect with the other problems should we be able to claim.

    Thanks
    Mike

The pilot did mention problems with air traffic control over France.

    Good Afternoon,

I had a flight from Paris to Bristol that got delayed 4 hours and some minutes. According to this I am entitled to a 250 euro compensation.
I filled the claim on their website and after a month I had no reply. I contacted customer service by chat and they told me I was not entitled because it was due to weather conditions.

Now, to explain you the situation, the plane that was to take us from Paris to Bristol was doing Bristol to Funchal first, and there was adverse weather in Funchal. They tried to land in Lisbon and then in Porto. After that (and 4 hours later) they came to Paris. There was indeed adverse weather, but that was on the arriving of the previous route, in Paris and Bristol there was no weather problems, so am I entitled to compensation or not?

    Thank you for your help.

This is a knock on incident. Because the bad weather did not affect your flight, you can claim. If airlines choose to schedule their flights from country to country, this is an operational decision and they must accept the consequences.

That is what I tought, but how can I claim if they said the report says it was due to weather?

I hate to say this but it has to be said. Airlines LIE to people, shock horror. Google and download Vaubans guide that's your bible and get claiming.
