    Hi Everyone,
just wondering - If I booked/paid for flights from Basel ( Switzerland) to London Gatwick but live in Germany should I send my claim to GB or do I have to claim it by Easyjet in Switzerland?
Flights were paid for with a German credit card - paid in Swiss Francs - Easyjet = British company with Head Office in Britain.
Sorry but can't decipher what to do in this case and would be grateful for any help.
    :)

ohh my golly gosh! This made me think?!?!?

A quick read of PtLV's guide
    b) You were departing an EU airport on any airline, or were flying into an EU airport on an EU carrier (for the purposes of the Regulation, this also includes Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland)?

That would be a yes then, doesn't matter how you paid for your flight, that's easy - it was paid! End of...

I think this is probably more up Dr Watsons street, have you visited his surgery ? I think ESCP would play a part in all this ? Post in the Ryanair thread, tell the good Dr, Nurse NoviceAngel sent you, and good luck! https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4384705

Not a Ryanair flight, but the Dr could advise if ESCP is the correct treatment in your case.

    Cheers,

Before you commence court action approach easyJet as they are one of the 'better payers' however it depends if your contract (flight) was with easyJet UK or easyJet Switzerland. As easyJet tend to be honourable I would contact Luton, provide your flight number and ask which Company operated your flight.

Agreed, but even if it's EasyJet Switzerland then wouldn't the OP still have to use ESCP unless EasyJet just write out a cheque?

NA - I read this as the poster was unsure whether to claim off easyJet UK or easyJet Switzerland (two different firms) - accept poster may need to go court route (but possibly not with EJ) but he/she must firstly establish the airline they flew with.

Yeah, re-read the post, you may well be right ;):p

Let's hope either way, there's no need for the ESCP

    Dear NA,
    exactly what I meant!
Who the hell is responsible? Does EJ have a sister company based in Switzerland or is the company always EJ UK?
Does where I live change my rights?
So many questions ( VERY SORRY ).
    What is ESCP ?

Grateful for all your help. :j

    1) Start off with easyJet UK and submit claim to them
    2) They should tell you if you flew with UK EJ or Swiss EJ
    3) If they (whichever one) do not pay claim then you need to take court action
    4) If you need to take court action then post again but Dr Watson on Ryanair thread could well be your friend (ESCP)
    5) If you need to know difference between UK EJ and Swiss EJ then Google and look at Wiki.
    6) Where you live (ie EU) makes no difference to your claim against the airline BUT it may make a difference which/where court you use.

    Hi all,

Has anyone here had a similar experience with easyjet?

Between 2010 and 2013 I flew most weeks from Newcastle to Bristol on a Monday morning and back again on Thursday or Friday evening (I'm a contract worker and couldn't find work locally).

On Friday evenings easyjet had two flights out of Bristol. During the winter months, if the flights from Bristol weren't busy, they'd cancel the earlier (more expensive) flight, leave the aircraft sitting on the tarmac until it was time for the later cheaper flight, and use the aircraft for the late flight.

I made a Data Protection request to easyjet asking them how many times they'd cancelled my flights, and which flights and dates. They've provided me with a list of flights, but have refused to tell me which flights they cancelled as this is "operational data". I can work through the flights one by one, but there are over 300 flights.

Does anyone have any advice how to get the information I need from easyjet??

    Help!!
