Best not complain to either, read the FAQ or just do the NBA if you don't know what that means then just read this thread from page 1

Just an update - after a certain amount of letter tennis with Jet2 have handed it over to Bott&Co, mainly because I was not certain of the delay. Flight stats only gave an estimated delay based on departure and listed us (party of 10) as just under 3 hours delayed. Paperwork back from Bott&Co suggests that delay was 3 hours and 8 minutes, so we could have a case. I will update either way.
  • I have just started the process with EUclaim.co.uk for a claim against jet2.com for 5 hour delay in May 2012 from Barcelona to Leeds Bradford, as I don't have the time or the inclination to research all the technical aspects and argue my case in court and this seems to be a good way to possibly get about £270 compensation instead of the £400 if I did it all myself and was actually successful.

Our delay was due to a catalogue of technical issues that were predictably brushed off as Extraordinary Circumstances by Jet2.com.

My question is, for those who have taken Jet2.com to court and won, either by themselves, or via Euclaim or another NWNF provider, have Jet2.com actually paid out the money, or are they still stalling and appealing at this stage?

Hi catwoman73, to answer your question, yes I took JET2 to court and won, they paid the compensation, but are currently appealing the court decision.
    Hope this helps :)

Hi dino, on what grounds are they appealing?
If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

    The alleged Ringleader.........
  • I have written to JET2 asking for compensation for a flight that was delayed over 6 hours from Manchester to Alicante. The reason at the time was that the air-conditioning on the aircraft wasn't working. In their response they stated that extraordinary circumstances lead to the delay!!! Where should I go from here?

Page one FAQ's then (probably) Court action.

Hi JP, at the moment I don't have the info, it is with Bott & Co. I think that they will be depending on the new NEB guidelines, but I will let you know if I get any further info.

See Post 363 in Court Success thread.
Jet2 had an application to adduce the NEB list as new evidence. The Judge refused it saying it was "preliminary guidance", "just someone else's opinion" and "it is Judges who make the law". He also commented, when refusing the application for permission to appeal, that Judge Platts had made reference to the list in Huzar.
