It means check with a No Win No Fee solicitor. I have checked the Bott & Co flight delay calculator and they say you are due compensation you can do this yourself and you need to look at Vaubans guide or pass it to a NWNF solicitor who will take 27% of any compensation plus £25 admin fee.

This is now on three threads!!

But the bottom line is that some NWNF checkers say the flight is not eligible for compensation, so it seems to be quite a fine judgement call. (I also wonder about the reliability of Bott's calculator.)
  • On our November holiday to Fuerterventura from LBA, the return flight was delayed by 6+ hours due to a malfunction in the weather radar. Another aircraft had to be sent out from Bristiol.
Meal / drink vouchers for 12 euros each were given to us and we enjoyed these in the sunshine.
Upon our return, I used the template delay letter which was acknowledged and a cheque for £563 or 800 euros arrived within 3 or 4 weeks. I have no complaints and will be booking again shortly.

Glad to see common sense and finally an admission but not an apology for their disgraceful behaviour...

I wonder if this thread could now be closed, is it finally all over ? We're certainly not seeing an influx of new Jet2 posts.

  • It seems that they only argue about interest now. I haven't seen a new thread for a while. But I'm sure they'll continue to argue those corner cases where it's not black and white.

I can't recall ever reading a Jet2 case where interest has been paid ? Someone will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong...
