deadline for claims. When JET2 agreed to the 6 year deadline with the CAA I sent another claim using the template letter. Not expecting anything other than a new rejection I was pleasantly surprised to receive the cheque within 4 weeks. Apart from time writing letters & cost of postage seems a pretty good result considering BOTTS had declined to take on my case.
Very good result and congrats, perhaps Jet2 have finally made an early New Years resolution not to act like prats and feed the birds, we shall see but that indeed is good news! After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

hi
can any1 point me in the right direction we were delayed in plama airport for 6 hours in September 2015
and our flight actually arrived 7 hours later than it was meant to also when we were given food vouchers we were told be a very rude lady that our 18 month old son would not be recevcing 1 as he wasn't entitled to 1 I found this very odd as we had to pay for him aswell. also food weren't issued for near 5 and a half hour after we were told there was a delay someone was saying that it was to be 4 hours
I was gonna apply for compensation and was wondering if I had a good enough case to go for it
any help would be great thank you0 -

All depends on the reason for the delay, start by reading Vaubans excellent guide, it will answer questions that you haven't even thought about yet.
Once you've read it, come back if you need anything clarifying.

I think I have now copied this thread from the main Flight Delay forum but apologies to all concerned for my lack of knowledge in sending 'threads' on the 'Forum'.
Does anyone have evidence of the 'arrival time' for Jet 2 flight LS390 on 28th December 2015 please?
The arrival time is crucial for a compensation claim to be considered.
I believe arrival time was 9.05 p.m. as confirmed by 'Availability .com' but Jet 2 say their records show arrival time before 9.00p.m. from scheduled arrival time of 6.00 p.m.
Jet 2 will not divulge their information of arrival time without legal proceedings being taken.0 -
topcat - flightstats does not show and indeed seems like arrival delay was close to the threshold (180m) given your post and likely to be a battle based upon when the doors were actually opened on the plane. If Jet2 are disputing I think you may be better advised to seek a NWNF confirmation in the first instance.0

I have answered this on another post. You are due compensation. Enjoy0
-
Sorry but what is a NWNF confirmation?0

It means check with a No Win No Fee solicitor. I have checked the Bott & Co flight delay calculator and they say you are due compensation you can do this yourself and you need to look at Vaubans guide or pass it to a NWNF solicitor who will take 27% of any compensation plus £25 admin fee.0
